I recently ordered a 3 topping large Hand tossed pizza from here. I ordered it as I was leaving Frenchman Street & by the time I got to their chalmette store it was ready to pick up. I ordered chicken, italian sausage & jalapenos on a non marinara base. The reason being is I'm a Kidney dialysis patient & I have to restrict my phosphorus & potassium. So considering this is a splurge for me I try to minimize what I can so I can eat pizza about once a month. But they Have an upcharge for a non marinara pizza base. So that's just one price I have to pay for eating it. But the pizza itself was good & I would but another one just like it.

This location closed the 1st of this month. There was a sign stating that an Italian place was coming soon to the same location. But that sign is no longer there ??? so I will update you as soon as I know more.

Arrived to Best Western late night, so opted for Cafe Roma. The food choices were good, with chicken wings to start, followed by crawish fettucini. The wings were a little 'crisp' and may ahve been re-fried, but the pasta was good, rich and creamy sauce, with plenty of tails in it.

And itâs not just because my son in law is one of the owners! The pizza is innovative without being odd and has a great crust, the pasta is fresh and takes advantage of fresh local ingredients, and thereâs a great vibe. Get out of the Quarter and get a slice. Or better, a pie. And garlic knots.
