Reviews on Pizza food in Akumal, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Akumal means "Place of the Turtle" in the Mayan language, and if you snorkel here, you just might see one swimming alongside you. (Don’t touch it, though. That’s prohibited by law.) You’ll definitely see coral and beautiful fish in the clear, sparkling waters. This tourist-friendly little town is about an hour south of Cancun—but it seems light-years away.

We ate here a couple nights ago. Service was very good but a bit slow. We had the gnocchi with sausage and tomato sauce, the fish of the day with a brandy mushroom cream sauce and the stuffed ravioli with mushrooms and Alfredo. Overall good dinner. You can tell the pasta is made in-house. The gnocchi was really good. The house wine left a bit to be desired. We would eat here again for sure.

Akumal Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Akumal
This was our first visit to the café. It's worth the short walk to go across the highway to Akumal pueblo. X'Mirna's has breakfast, lunch and dinner open evenings until 10pm and until 11 or 12 on weekends. They are closed on Tuesday. The service is great and prices are lower than you'll find on the resort side. We had wonderful ham and cheese sandwiches on baguettes with coffee and juice for breakfast. A few days later we enjoyed a late night pizza with mushrooms and Spanish style chorizo which was awesome! If you are looking for authentic Mayan/Mexican food be sure and visit Mirna's mom's place, which is up the road, across from the park, behind the police station. I highly recommend her empanadas! She cooks traditional food each day.

We just wanted takeout and asked our innkeeper where to go. He suggested Leo's. Great idea. Nice friendly people in a small restaurant in the pueblo. It looked like the kind of place to just go hang out. Price was very reasonable.
Where to eat Seafood food in Akumal: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We got here because of the reviews. Kind staff and good desserts. However, we ordered the seafood grill for two, and the lobster was not fresh and very chewy. Even though their dishes are more expensive than other restaurants in the area, we found it overpriced for what we got.
