The Harbours of Limekilns

After visiting beautiful Aberdour and heading for Culross, we just had to stop at Limekilns and take in the views from this beautiful harbour. Free parking, large grassy areas, sculptures, tributes and information boards. Fabulous views back towards Edinburgh and those bridges.

Cellardyke Harbour

Reviewed By macedonboy - Glasgow, United Kingdom

A picturesque village and harbour stop while we were doing the Fife Coastal Trail. The sheltered harbour is worth seeing especially as its not as busy as the harbours in Anstruther and Crail ,and you get to see the harbour in its entirety. The shoreline is also quite rocky, but walkable which provides another distraction on the trail.

Aberdour Harbour

Reviewed By johnhouston2 - Knaresborough, United Kingdom

Whenever we are in this part of Fife we are drawn to lovely village of Aberdour simply to take a walk down to the harbour and beach. No matter how many photos I’ve taken here, there is something incredibly atmospheric about the image of the old wooden pier jutting into the Firth, with the houses and headland behind it. A great place to visit.

St Monans Harbour

Reviewed By margareth273 - Leeds, United Kingdom

This is a lovely working harbour here in St. Monans. You can walk up several different piers here just watch underfoot for ropes etc. It’s great to walk around the East Pier and climb up the ladder on the wall to look at the zig zag breakwater. Just turnaround and look at the lovely vista of st. Monans houses, streets etc across the harbour it’s lovely. It really is nice to see the lobster and crab pots piled up ready for the next days fishing. Great place.
