Mallacoota wilderness houseboats offer a rare opportunity to experience the massive Mallacoota Inlet in a unique way. The boats sleep 6 , are fully appointed and allow you to watch the sun go down and wake up on the water. Tow your tinny behind and be the first one on the water fishing or simply relax.
We just had 5 nights on the Inlet Wanderer with another couple and we had a fantastic time. The houseboat is really well equipped with everything you need. If anything, the description on the website undersells the features. We had a great time exploring the whole inlet over several days and enjoyed tying up the boat at a different location every night. We fished, saw lace monitors and walked thru the bush. We saw amazing sunrises and sunsets. Awesome holiday

You lose yourself in the view of the water here as the water shimmers under a perfect summer's day... even if you were to walk further up the inlet where the water is out, there is something really special about being able to walk along the sands and enjoy the spectacular views on offer. When I arrived there today there were oodles of people wandering along the paths and waterways and enjoying the perfect day. It is an amazing place to visit.

Late in the day, on a brisk, but sunny Winter's day I visited the Blue Pool after a great many years have passed. This was somewhere from my youth that my parent's would take me to swim. Well not just me, they also took my three brothers... I probably whined the most about having to step on the stones to get into the water. *laughs* I returned today to see this beautiful pool of water that reflected the gorgeous scenery. There was a group of young people camping nearby ... one of the young chaps was telling me how they were from the Berwick area and sometimes they need to go somewhere this quiet away from crowds, he told me how quiet it was and how the night's stars were so clear the night before. The young chap was romanticising the area and with good reason... it was so beautiful. I wandered around for awhile taking photos and just enjoying the beauty. Then I left before it got dark...there are about five kilometres of windy road to drive out of the area before the roads improve.
