L'Aquila (Italian: [ˈlaːkwila] ( listen), meaning "The Eagle") is a city and comune in Southern Italy, both the capital city of the Abruzzo region and of the Province of L'Aquila. As of 2013, it has a population of 70,967 inhabitants. Laid out within medieval walls on a hill in the wide valley of the Aterno river, it is surrounded by the Apennine Mountains, with the Gran Sasso d'Italia to the north-east.

Since 2011, the first craft beer made in L'Aquila. At the moment, we made 12 different beer styles: Lager (5,2% vol.) Pale, bavarian style, bottom-fermented. Special Red (5,6% vol.) Amber, bottom-fermented. Winner of the "Beer of the Year 2015" award, III° place. Black Diamond (5,4% vol.) Dark, bottom-fermented. Winner of the "Beer of the Year 2016" award, III° place. Winner of the "Cervesia price 2015" award, I° place. Insert in "Great beers" category on Slow Food guidebook 2016. Weizen (5,3% vol.) Hefe-Weiss style, top-fermented. Winner of the "Beer of the Year 2016" award, III° place. Insert in "everyday beers" category on Slow Food guidebook 2016. Pils (4,7% vol.) Pilser, bottom-fermented. IPA (5,6% vol.) India Pale Ale bottom-fermented. Golden (8,2% vol.) Double malt, top-fermented. Adler (11,6% vol) Strong Ale, top-fermented. Also Gluten Free Craft beers - All the Anbra beers are made without filtering and pasteurization. The brewery is located in Fossa (AQ) and it is visitable.
