Costa Teguise in the Canary Islands doesn’t have a long history behind it—the resort area was developed as a tourist area in the 1980s. The sandy beaches are the town’s main attraction, but for a change of pace, visit the Fundacion Cesar Manrique, where you can see Manrique’s artwork and learn about this world-renowned local artist.

Lovely beach and wonderful for families, couples or singles. Sunbeds & parasols for hire if you want them. Man made lagoon which is safe for children to paddle and swimmers to really swim Lots of fish in the lagoon, which you can feed with bread - they are completely unafraid and come right up to you.. Great for snorkelling and lots of people learning to scuba dive here. Lifeguard on site and toilets and showers too.

We parked the car in front of the church in nearby Ye; facing away from the church, we turned right and we followed the road and then took the path to our right shortly after the waste container. We walked along the dirt path and we hiked to the top. It takes about 30 mins to get to the crater. A must experience to do in Lanzarote and one of the highlights of our trip!

Really lovely area, plenty of sunbeds etc, plenty of bars/cafes behind the beach. Prom along here is great, just been re-surfaced.

Water babies will love nothing more than a trip to Lanzarote Aquarium where they can see the largest collection of majestic marine life in the Canary Island. One of the Aquarium main goals is to educate visitors about the sea- that's why we have created displays with information about the importance of protecting the environment. For example ´The Aquarium Garbage´ an exhibition that explores the damage being done to the ocean, and what needs to be done to see fish that live in the beautiful blue beneath the waves. There are plenty of native Canarian species to spot throughout the visit such as turtles, blowfishes and tropical clown fish. The shark tunnel will delight young visitors and the hands- on experience in the touch- pools full of spiky sea urchins and slimy sea cucumbers.
After reading the reviews, we were a little hesitant but as we were having lunch nearby by decided to give it a go! Whilst it is small, there is plenty to see.. we took our time and were not disappointed! Lots of fish and sea life in various tanks with screens next to each tank with information. The turtle looked really sad and definitely made you see the real life impact of using plastic! The rehabilitation work they are doing with the turtles is fabulous! In summary, you should take your time at each tank as some of the fish, eels and sea life can be shy... and don’t necessarily come out straight away and perform on demand! They also do feeding on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12 noon for the same cost... It was a really relaxed atmosphere and not crowded!
