Join us for Art Cruise 29! 1st Saturdays for Opening Receptions from 5 to 7 pm! The 29 Palms Art Gallery is the longest standing non-profit art organization in the Joshua Tree Gateway Communities. For over fifty years, the Gallery has presented high-quality art, offered innovative education programs, and provided an inclusive environment for artists and the community. The Gallery features monthly art exhibitions, special receptions, weekly paint outs, seasonal fundraising events, and art classes for youth and adults. Our historic adobe structure, housing three beautiful galleries and a unique gift shop, is located near the Joshua Tree National Park Headquarters & Oasis Visitor Center, 29 Palms Inn, and the Old Schoolhouse Museum.

Twentynine Palms Historical Society owns and operates the Old Schoolhouse Museum. Housed in the oldest public building in the area, it provides visitors a chance to experience a 1920s-era schoolroom, view artifacts and exhibits pertaining to the history of Twentynine Palms and surrounding desert, browse and purchase local books, gifts, and more.

Sky's The Limit Observatory & Nature Center campus is open on a limited basis until further notice. The campus is always open but none of the buildings - including restrooms and the dome - are open; there are no programs being offered and no docents on campus. Individuals and families are welcome to explore the Orrery, Nature and Wilderness Trails, and the Meditation Garden. Sky's the Limit Observatory and Nature Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hands-on learning opportunities for the people of and visitors to the Joshua Tree Gateway Communities. We provide a place where the honest pursuit of knowledge enriches the lives of all willing to participate, whether to view the smallest objects on the Earth, or observe the colossal displays in the sky.
