My aunt and I visit the Jersey Shore every year, usually in June, mostly staying in Point Pleasant. This year we wanted to stay some place different than where we've stayed before but directly on the beach. We randomly chose Driftwood Motel, and we're soooo glad we found this Jersey Shore gem! We stayed in room 133, poolside. Opening the door and walking into a newly renovated, CLEAN room solidified that we had made a great choice. The outdoor pool is large, refreshing, and very well maintained. There's even a sandy beach area right by the pool with plenty of lounge seating to relax, enjoy a drink, and get your tan on. The snack shack on the property adds a great accommodation for quick bites to eat and a hot cup of coffee in the morning! The location cannot be beat! If you are looking to be steps away from basically a private beach, then this is the place for you! Also, you're only about a 10 minute walk away from the Boardwalk, another bonus! Betty Ann and the owner of Driftwood we're also wonderful. My aunt and I both enjoyed talking with Betty Ann, she's so sweet and welcoming...making you feel like you're an old friend. Driftwood is now our spot! Betty Ann, next year we will be back. Thank you! Angela from Nebraska

I booked my one night stay, months in advance through hotels.com, who I've used many times and have never had an issue. The hotels.com cancelation policy was 10 days in advance. When hotels.com online couldn't find my reservation I was forced to leave a message and wait for a call back. In the meantime I called the hotel, explained I needed to cancel and was told I had to cancel through Hotels.com, they couldn't help me, AND that their cancelation policy is 2 weeks in advance, not 10 days. You can't have it both ways- you can't push me to talk to hotels and offer zero help, but then say you're going to supersede the hotels.com policy, to your benefit. Needless to say I ended up with the $275.00 bill, for a stay I didn't use, simply because the hotel refused to work with me, reach out to hotels.com on my behalf, (why should they, right, they already charged my card at the time of booking, obviously knowing full well their cancelation policy didn't match the hotels.com policy). Never again. I don't care if its the only room left at the beach I will never book here again- and i promise I will tell everyone I know about this experience.

Definitely an old hotel that needs some upgrades. Positives - The room was clean and the Air Conditioning worked. Negatives - Unclear on parking and costs, ice machine did not work, a little sketchy. Yep, I said it, it was a little frightening. But it was a SUPER great location!

Arrived at the resort late on Friday evening after about 5 hours on the road. Visited Captains Cafe on the resort to feed the kids. While waiting for the food Bartender Ian S was amazing. He had great conversational skills and made sure we were taken care of completly. When the food came out it was a rather large order and it was correct. Ian went the extra step to check the order to ensure it was correct. Food was hot, fresh and very good.

No service, do you a favor a give you a vacuum if you want to clean your room. Heat is a portable one. No new sheets or fresh towels. The manager, extremely nasty and would only accept cash. A receipt wasn't even legit. This place should be torn down and rebuilt or made into a condo unit,
