Find out what Middle Eastern restaurants to try in Nur-Sultan. Designated the capital city of Kazakhstan in the late 1990s, Nur-Sultan boasts a landscape glittering with new architecture and construction projects as the government infrastructure continues to be built. Old and new quarters of the city are divided by the Ishim River, with older, Soviet era structures on the north side while the governmental quarter and monuments like the monolithic Bayterek Tower spread out to the south. The central Avenue of the Republic is a hub of entertainment and business.

Pleasant, helpful staff. No English menus but you can see many of the items. They had no fish the night we were there. Good lamb kabobs. Reasonably priced. Sadly, no alcohol. Outstanding baklava---honey almost dripping from the 3 pieces per serving. Children's play area but no music (thankfully given how loud it is nearly everywhere here) was playing. Excellent bread---two types, complementary appetizers. Will definitely return. Thanks for your visit to Divan! We play nice Turkish music now and we have delicious sea bream ;) We are looking forward to see you again!

The restaurant "Nasha Uzbechka" is located in the centre of the capital of Kazakhstan. We give our guests around the clock. From us You will leave 100% full!
We ordered traditional Uzbek plov, fried lagman, and soups (chickpea and Uzbek shorpo), Uzbek bread, Uzbek tea (honeu, lemon, black and green tea), and kiwi/orange juice (served in a jar) - everything was amazing. The service was fast and professional, music relaxing in the background, and design of the place is traditional as well. Highly recommend - we got such a strong energy boost from the kiwi drink, we think vegetarians would love it :)

This is my new favourite restaurant in Astana. It's located in the Ramstore building on Kenesary, right across from Eagilik Books and Coffee. What I love most about London Beirut is the mouthwatering food. There are so many incredible choices so I recommend that you go with a group and order many different dishes to share - bonus if the chef is around and offers to bring you out his best offers for the number of people at your table. We once ordered 14 items between 4 people. Hummous, fatoush, falafel...all so good! My second favourite thing about London Beirut is the cost. The prices are fair and reasonable for what you get and much, much cheaper than competing international restaurants, especially when you include drinks. The staff is also lovely! The host and the chef speak excellent English and some of the servers speak very good English as well.

Tasty food. Inspired by the Uzbek cuisine. Nice interior. Good price/quality. Obviously well known by the locals. Menu available in English. As often in this part of the world, and according to local expectations, food is served when ready, regardless of the sequence of soup, entrée and main course. Make sure you let the waitress know in advance if you want to impose the order and rythm of serving.

Familiarity with Kazakh and modern kitchen. Unique the national restaurant, where the food is prepared on open fire: in the tandoor, grill and cauldron.
Found "Saksaul" in a jet-lagged (and, alas, hungover) state from an overnight flight - it was one of the few places open before 10:00. I was recommended the local special breakfast - many courses, cumulating in a horse meat dish, Staff were friendly, eager to speak English (and, in one case, show off their Pinky Blinders tattoo).I returned the following day for a late lunch, again asking for and accepting their recommendation of a Plov dish. Highly recommended for breakfast and lunch.
