Excellent Mexican fare in an old gas station, very inventive and authentic. Service was great and tasty food!Plenty of parking, menu selection cooked fresh to order. Not 5 star due to lackluster locale and lack of ambience. BUT, the food is great!

After a long drive, through snow, we found a motel in Vernal and went straight to find some food. My step daughter said she'd eaten in a Taco bell before so in we went. My meal was truly awful - i left most of it - while my wife and I swore to give Taco Bell a wide berth the next time we were in the US. I suppose sometimes you get what you pay for!

We recently spent one night in Vernal, Utah and wanted Mexican food so we stopped by "Vallarta's" for dinner. The restaurant was clean and the menu fairly extensive. However, the prices were extremely high for both the entrees and the margaritas. The food was nothing special and the margaritas were some of the worst I've ever had. I usually get a "buzz" from a margarita after only a couple of sips. Despite the large glass, I never felt anything at all which makes me question how much (if any) tequila was in the drink which cost more than $10.00! The server was friendly and fairly fast, especially since she seemed to be the only one working during a busy time. We will not likely return to this restaurant.

I enjoyed my meal here. It wasn't surprising and amazing food but it's good, comfortable mexican food. You get what you expect. The more impressive aspect of Don Pedros was the good service, we had five kids with our group and the servers patient and helpful. Which as a parent is always appreciated.

I liked it better than Chipotle. Donât expect sit down service. This is a fast food place. Very good tacos and enchiladas.

Recommended by our hotel at check-in - and we were delighted. Wanting lighter fare I chose shrimp fajitas - in the middle of Utah! - and they were fresh and cooked to perfection. Different and delicious salsa with cabbage was excellent. Friendly prompt service and soccer (in Spanish) on the tv. Great end to a long day of driving.
