The have "real" Mexican items here and not the Americanized versions that some other places have. I had a quesadilla plus several different tacos. The quesadilla was alright but was really long and not cut into sections. It was a real mess trying to eat it. The quality of the steak in their tacos was rather poor. The shredded chicken was okay and the chorizo was fairly good. I really liked the onions they put in their tacos. Service was quick and friendly. However, there is a similar, but better, Mexican restaurant a couple miles further up Milwaukee Ave. that I would recommend over Los Huaraches.

indoor and outdoor seating.Don't be dismayed if the door is open on a hot summer day/night. The air conditioning IS on -- they are just trying to get more circulation inside.Everything is delicious. I have already worked my way through everything vegetarian on the menu, and my friends vouch for the non-veggie stuff they have tried. Don't miss the basket of free Mexican candy, lollipops and gum at the register -- all that's missing at this Taco Party is the pinata.

After 49 years of business, we know what Northbrook wants. From our all beef dogs, burgers, fries and Gyros to soup, salads, and wraps, Little Louie's has something for everyone. We have grown to know and treat our customers like family. Come back and see
I was in Northbrook and needed a quick and moderately sized and priced meal. I happened across Little Louie's purely by accident. The hot dog casing had a satisfying crunch, and the french fries were perfect: crisp on the outside, soft and tasty on the inside. Across the board, their prices were high. Over $7 for a hot dog and fries (without a drink)? The fries alone were $3! The meal hit the spot, so I shouldn't complain. There are two rooms straddling a common vestibule. Side note: One of the customers on my side was affiliated with the place, because he took his friends' orders and let the young lady in their party go in back and dispense her own soda. Not entirely hygienic.

I met up with business colleagues for a Thursday evening happy hour. The white sangria was good, and initially the service was ok. However, after bringing us chips & guacamole, the server never came back. We all had our one drink, and some were contemplating ordering actual meals, but there were no servers to be found. Empty glasses sat unattended and the chips & guac were gone. Given my experience at other American bars where thereâs a lot of attention paid to refilling glasses, I was disappointed that we got nothing after the first round. I wasnât also planning to eat there as I had another commitment straight afterwards, but left hungry.

There are entrances on two levels. If you come in from the parking lot, you can use the elevator or the staircase to get to the second floor. The salad bar is a big draw here. There are many, many choices....and your server will bring you a fresh plate for your return trip. I didn't count the salad dressings, but there are at least a dozen -- probably a lot more. Before you return to your table, check out the counter opposite the salad bar. There are mini muffins and a selection of salad add-ons. The fried onions are very good.

MESA URBANA BISTRO FEATURING MEXICAN FUSION Mesa's Global Cuisine, bustling ambiance, handcrafted cocktails, colorful decor are in keeping with Chicago's finest dining spots. Conveniently located on the North Shore.
First, the food is more interesting than typical Mexican dining, probably because of the fusion component. The menu isn't huge, and it doesn't need to be. The tequila list isn't pages long, but has plenty to choose from. But the food is absolutely outstanding. We had teriyaki chicken in lettuce wrap tacos and the salmon, both resulting in clean plates. The lava cake for desert, which comes with ice cream was similarly devoured. The quac to start comes with an interesting array of shaved radishes for dipping. Finally, our waiter Gary was an absolute dream, attentive and funny and helpful. I don't know how i have missed going to this place; it is fabulous.
