In a town of high end restaurants, the Taqueria is a refreshing and welcoming alternative. Located in the local shopping center, the discreet restaurant provides tasty and authentic mexican food, and one of the best margaritas I've ever had. The staff is welcoming and wishes to please, and the prices are very reasonable. We'd urge people to try it.

Unpretentious and a little hard to find, this is the local favorite for Mexican food, with a big togo business.Been eating here for years. The quality never wavers. My fave is the chile verde burrito with a Jamaica(Hibiscus)Agua fresca.Charming service too. Very busy around noon. Just delicious.

There are about a half-dozen local Mexican restaurants. This was our favorite for years. Then something changed. The flavors waned...and it wasn't our favorite any longer. But after an extended absence during which we tried all the others in town, we came back, and it's good again. I had the BBQ pork special (very flavorful); my wife has quesadilla suiza (she swooned).I surmise they replaced the chef. El Taco Grande is back on my good list.

I met some friends here for dinner when I was visiting Healdsburg. I didn't necessarily have great expectations when I saw it was in a strip mall, sandwiched between Safeway and a Dollar Store. I couldn't have been more wrong. Having been fed a steady diet of mediocre Mexican food at all the restaurants further north where I live, I was completely delighted with how phenomenal the food was at Agave. I ordered the enchiladas with mole and this was without a doubt the best mole I've ever had in my life. Clearly homemade with skill and love - it was delightful. The Molotes appetizer were also excellent, the salsa and guacamole were top notch, and even the rice and beans were pleasantly good and lacking the usual heaviness of typical Mexican restaurants. Without a doubt this will be my go-to place for a meal when passing through the area - I can't wait to try everything else on the menu.

Healdsburg is probably one of the few towns that has Zagat rated taquerias. In this town our favorite Mexican restaurant is El Farolito. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable, the service is good and the food is fantastic. The restaurant has a full and varied menu and a bar so you can get a full on dinner or you can call in for a burrito to go ( I recommend the veggie burrito) so whatever you crave give El Farolito a try!
