A very extensive menu offers the usual fare done very well but skip the usual and go for dishes not found at your normal American/Mexican joint. We started with freshly made spicy ceviche which was great and a large portion besides. Our entrees were Pollo Cancun, a delightful dish of tender chicken with sauce and onions covered with spinach and a cheese sauce and Pollo Supremo which was chicken in a mushroom sauce and a side salad of avocado, tomato and lettuce. I'm sure the same preparation with shrimp would have been great as well. Both dishes were excellent and both came with fresh tortillas. The service was excellent and the ambiance is bright and pleasant. This is the best Mexican in greater Lansing.

One day, during one of several trips to the Southwest, we realized that Los Tres Amigos serves as good as, and in most cases better than, anything in the Southwest! Wow, right here in the cornbelt, is wonderful Mexican food.As a kid, growing up here, there was only one, Mexican restaurant in all of greater Lansing, and any other town for 40-50 miles. Now, we can eat fantastic stuff in many locations around south central Michigan.Try the Butano salad - scrumptious. My only concern is - is there any Mexican music somewhere that isn't loud and frantic? Dinner music should be relaxing, not create indigestion.

Didn't go inside Met a friend at a table on the sidewalk. Right in Caesar Chavez Dr. / Grd. River.. Delicious tacos, good salsa, seems homemade chips. Mexican tacos are corn tortillas, American tacos are flour. Just cilantro and onions! Perfect! They do not serve margaritas.

On July 12, 10 friends and I were seated family-style at a long table in Fiesta Charra's main dining room in East Lansing MI. Red, White, and Green decorations added to the festive atmosphere of this Mexican restaurant with original murals, oil paintings, and painted chairs. The server handled drink and food orders and delivery of both courteously and efficiently. The menu has extensive Mexican offerings and some standard US fare. The kids menu has a good selection of kid-food from tacos to hot dogs. A variety of drinks are offered. The $2 beer special was special.

Stopped in towards end of Sunday evening which might have colored experience. Margaritas were decent. Service was prompt. Food was... Not great. I'm not certain the menu or food has evolved that much since they opened in 1978. Kitchen staff didn't really want to be there are noise drove off two other tables. Based on reviews I'd say food and experience are highly variable.
