Eat in or take out--this family owned restaurant has been my go to eating oasis since I learned in 1994 that a ânew restaurantâ had taken over the former âchicken rotisserieâ location. Food is fresh, prepared from scratch with care, and served up to be enjoyed. Satisfying dinners and a lunch menu with just the right portions. Khouryâs was my introduction to Lebanese food and became my Mediterranean Food University. I'm celebrating 24 years of nourishing food for body and soul. Who knew that delicious food could be so healthy! Iâm one of those who suffers from extensive food allergies. Never a problem at Khouryâs; I can eat anything they can offer up and relish the experience. Luv it!
This new Pinecrest-based restaurant came by our office today to let us try their food and it is off the charts good. The hummus is super creamy and made with roasted garbanzo beans with a hint of garlic which gives it a depth and kick; the sauces are outstanding and the Laffa bread was soft and delicious. Their Tzatziki was delicious. I tried the Beet Cilantro sauce and the Zhough sauce which is made with parsley and jalapenos and both were delicious. They have other sauces to try. Can't wait to stop by and try their meats and eggplant dishes. They are apparently in the shopping center by T Mobile in Pinecrest and they also have another location in Wynwood.

Best habibi restaurant hands down. Rumi brings much needed-authentic middle eastern food to Miami. The variety on the menu is unmatched & appeals to all types of food lovers. I had the lamb stew called gheimeh. It's a thick tomato based soup with tender lamb chunks, vegetables, & served with Persian rice. The turmeric saffron blend was perfect. The food was so flavorful & filling.

Several reviews mention "home cooked meals" and that might be the key point of this restaurant. The dishes aren't gourmet, but you will get a salad well-cooked plate brought to the table. Standard Mediterranean fare was fine--hummus, eggplant, falafel, pita. However, the other plates were just average. Salmon was overcooked, chicken kabobs were dry and the meals were accompanied by a large amount of plain rice with a broiled tomato half. Nothing special. On a positive note, the little supermarket in the restaurant has a wide variety of items and there are several pre-packaged baked goods available for purchase. Also, the service was very good (perhaps because it wasn't very crowded) For a basic meal when you're not in the mood to cook, Shiraz is fine. But, don't go expecting to be swept away to a foreign shore.

Love this restaurant, it's food and service. The food here is authentic and always fresh. The Shaddai Platter which has hummus, babaganoush, stuffed grape leaves, fried kebbeh and tabbouleh is one of my favorites. It's good enough to share. The kebbeh nayeh, which is raw meat mixed with wheat and eaten with bread or lettuce leaves, is one of the best I have had. The lamb kabob entree has 2 kabobs with soft lamb meat and served with rice and salad (also good to share if you had the shaddai platter as an appetizer). The rack of lamb is delectable and also good for sharing. The mint tea is superb and served beautifully. We had no room for dessert, but if you do, I guarantee that anything you order will be delicious. Highly recommend it. It is situated at the very end (in a corner) of the strip mall, which is sort of hard to find from the street. Plenty of parking too.
