Had a selection of tapas (small plates). Flamenquines (breaded pork filled with ham and Manchego cheese), Raxo (pork cubes with fried potatoes and sweet peppers), and a few others. Very satisfying. Good caipirinhas (Bazilian drink) rum, lime juice & sugar.Nice desserts too. Service was attentive and friendly.

We have been coming to this delightful restaurant since at least the 90âs, maybe even before? Itâs always exceptional. Fresh and tasty food with good service at low prices in an ecclectic decor thatâs interesting to look around at while dining. Weâve celebrated graduations and birthdays here over the years. The restaurant is located inside a house with dining tables on multiple floors. Our fav is the hummus with warm pita bread slices. Simply the best weâve EVER had...in the world. We went for lunch yesterday as a party of 10 with some of our fam from NJ. They thoroughly enjoyed everything! One of our fam members does not eat meat and he was happy with all the options plus his meal. The gryo is to-die-for, the salmon was fabulous, the falafel was excellent, the lamb was delicious, the portobella mushroom sandwich was wonderful, and the kids were delighted to have french fries & chicken! All the food was served to our party in a very timely manner and there were quite a few other diners in the restaurant at the time. The bill was ridiculously small for the amount of food we had...$10/person for our party of 10. (Please donât tell them! But if you tried to get a similar meal in NYC, youâd pay at least twice the amount.)If you enjoy yummy, fresh, and healthy food with good service in a restaurant that has character and history for really good prices, then the Sesame Seed will be an exceptional dining experience. You will not be disappointed! :)
The old German restaurant has been nicely renovated into 3 rooms and a patio area. 2 rooms are smallish dining rooms and the main room is a bar with 2 separate tables. Good ambience and decor. The waiting staff are new and still learning. We really enjoyed 2 starters which are big enough to share - the Pork Belly and the Seafood Cocktail, both were very well executed. The 4 different tacos we ordered were pretty good, with the best ones being the lamb and the octopus. I'd suggest trying not just the tacos, but the other things on the menu too. Definitely going back!!

I frequent this comfortable, friendly restaurant because its food is always tasty. For lunch, I particularly recommend the salads or the panini; forget any diet and have the latter with the hot homemade potato chips. At dinnertime, loads of fine choices, from crab cakes to pastas to Middle Eastern dishes. And for any meal, any time: great pizza!

Jyst a random place to stop at while we drove from Pennsylvania to Maine. Very understanding and helpful manger/ owner. Generous portions and awesome flavors. Be sure to try the spicy green chutney with any of your dishes. Finished it off with authentic kulfi which is a rare find in a small place like this.
