Casual, ocean-side dining.
We visited this restaurant on our last night in Barbados, wished we had gone earlier in our holiday because would definitely have gone again.we were asked if we wanted to sit inside the restaurant or outside and so glad we chose outside, because just as we were about to sit at our table was lucky enough to see a turtle come up on the little beach. It really was pretty special. The meal was lovely and we thought very good value for money. The staff were excellent and always kept a close eye on our drinks so we didnt wait too long before another delicious cocktail..Dont just pass by this restaurant like we had been doing till the last night..go in I'm really sure you wont be disappointed.

Having had an excellent meal the week previous, we decided to return to Il Tempio for the last evening of our holiday. The contrast was remarkable! We were not offered drinks before ordering our meal. I ordered the special which comprised of mashed potato, three pieces of broccoli and a piece of barracuda with a few chopped tomatoes on top.My son had ordered garlic bread as a side with his lasagne which eventually arrived when heâd finished his meal. The food was very salty, the pasta dishes were overwhelmed by the tomato sauce. The Ice cream, which allegedly is home made was powdery and served out of a commercial ice cream container. On a positive note the tiramisu is the best Iâve tasted.Overall there appeared to be very little interest from any member of staff and weâd had better Italian food at Mama Miaâs for significantly less money. We are always very happy when we have a repeat customers but this time we are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed on your second visit. We investigated the matter with our manager and staff members and all of them told us that the cocktails were served to you after few minutes and that your food was eaten all.Nothing was left in the plate and no complain was done from you or your guests during or after your dinner. We are very proud for the attention that we put in our service and in the quality of our food that is fresh and homemade as ice-cream,pasta,bread,focaccia and dessert included the tiramisuâthat you found exceptional ...You also mentioned that you got some dish covered of tomato sauce but you did not order any dish with tomato sauce so we cannot figure out what your really mean.Yes your son got the garlic bread after 5 minutes of his food but he also order it late and if this was the reason of your low valuation of our place please accept our apologies.

cin cin [chin-chin] 1. a cheers or toast to good health. 2. a refreshingly contemporary, elegant new restaurant that offers 'alfresco dining' with sweeping views of the west coast of Barbados. A trendy new hot spot that features an air-conditioned lounge
As a local I had heard of rave reviews from friends and acquaintances and so I was very excited when it was booked for my friends birthday dinner. Most of the party arrived on time (a couple were running late) but we were seated at our table by the lovely hostess and I especially was excited for our meals. However a couple things were disappointing. Firstly they brought out the bread but brought no side plates for anyone nor did the server inquire if anyone wanted butter rather than the olive oil/balsamic mix. We were told that side plates were not used with large parties which was strange given that itâs described as a fine dining restaurant at which side plates are standard. Secondly, there was a bit of an extended wait with the drinks as my frozen margarita had already separated by the time it got to the table. Thirdly, server was not very friendly he seemed exasperated and had an off putting attitude. Starters came out relatively hot however it was more than an hour between courses and our mains were below room temperature when they got the the table. Very disappointing. More so that one of the partyâs order was completely wrong! I was excited to try the risotto started but it was merely alright. The wait was so long between courses and it was so late that I couldnât even enjoy the main course. I was so turned off that I didnât even order dessert (which is my fave part of a meal). It got quite heated when one of our party made the effort to speak to the manager on duty and he didnât seem too pleased that complaints were being made about the lack of service and the quality of the food. Even members of our party who regularly go there were severely disappointed all round. Not sure if I will be back any time soon. Hopefully they get it together and it is a nice location and has an enjoyable ambiance. This review is most confusing for us. On the night in question, despite the fact that all guests did not arrive until 25 minutes after the reservation, we still allowed the reservation to be held and those who did arrive on time waited in the lounge area (as they requested). The Manager is investigating the issue you have raised regarding side plates as this doesn't make any sense to us and the waiter has advised that he wasn't alerted to any issue with side plates. As far as the Manager was concerned, the only issue that was brought to his attention was when one meal was sent back to the kitchen as the individual said it wasn't what they ordered. The guest was advised that the meal would be replaced as quickly as possible. After a couple of minutes, the husband of that guest approached the manager and asked for a status. The Manager advised that it was almost completed and as an apology we would take his meal off the bill. He indicated he was happy with this and returned to the table. After the meal was over, the Manager spoke to the Birthday girl to make sure that everything went well. She mentioned the meal that was incorrect. He told her he was taking the mans meal off the bill and he then offered to remove the service charge. She thanked him but refused to allow him to remove the service charge. We are very surprised at the comments you make regarding not being able to enjoy the food as the Manager took a photograph of the empty plates that were returned to the kitchen. I wish I could add to this comment as from 10 plates there were a few bones, about 6 pieces of veg and a tablespoon or two of what looks like mashed potato.

Had another lovely evening not dented by the heavy rainfall which fell at times whatsoever. The staff were on top of it.Nice reception and greeting.Great food, although perhaps a little sauce with the shrimp and avocado starter may be welcome.Good, laid back and courteous staff. And, as always a fabulous setting.Keep it up and maintain those high standards.
