Village is surrounded by hills, From Mapusa town, the road u-turns uphill and, while descending the pass in the small plateau, splits into two parallel roads one which proceeds straight along The church of St. Cajetan, Assagao Union High School anjuna and the other passes by Pallottine Seminary,Panchyat office straight to Badem. The popular beaches of Anjuna and Vagator are to the west of Assagao. Assagao Union High School is located in the village.

We found this place from the fantastic reviews on Trip Advisor, and it lived up to our expectations. Setting was beautiful, surrounded by a gorgeous garden and lit pool. Food was delicious and a welcome change to curry!! We had garlic bread with cheese to start followed by Arabiata pasta, Mare pizza and a green side salad. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Went to this, what you would loosely call a restaurant. Waited 45 mins for our meal. We don’t mind waiting if the food is good, but it was appalling.The curry I am convinced was out of a packet, barman clearing tables with cigarette in his mouth. Service very poor. Complained about the quality of the food and was met with silence. Give this place a wide berth does not live up to the reviews on this site, makes you wonder who’s writing them.

The place is simple yet rustic and some of the dishes in the english breakfast menu are must try. The seating is open with temporary covered roof, which was leaking at few spots upon my visit as it was rainy season. The taste of the dishes is really authentic and portion size is adequate. The breakfast is not heavy either on stomach or on pocket.The menu ranges from Egg, Pork, Fish, Sausages and vegetarian. They even have a small shop for some souvenir shopping.Many thanks for the nice review. We do not serve any non-vegetarian dishes and are primarily vegetarian apart from serving eggs and tuna. I have visited Goa’s arc several times at their previous location & always found it a great evening out with great food. Their new location makes that even better. Not only is it easier to get to, the food remains consistently excellent & their cocktail menu is fantastic!! Already visited twice this trip and willDefinitely be back! Everything we had was good, especially the beef carpaccio, salmon tartlets and home-made mascarapone gelato.The owner Mario will make recommendations, just say yes to whatever he suggests, even the scarpetta (literally means little shoe for some reason but is actually freshly baked bread) at the end to mop up the olive oil and sauces on your plate. The chef is his wife Simona whom you will probably want to thank a million times during your meal. A very, very satisfying meal!
