Adrienne first moved to Hawaii at the age of 18 in 1985. Over the years she worked as a PADI scuba instructor and first mate on vessels in Maui. Later, following tales of adventure, she worked as a commercial crabber in Alaska where she met her late husband and eventually the duo sailed around the world. Returning to Hawaii, Adrienne began racing outrigger canoes and relished in solo one man outrigger canoe long distance paddles. Lastly, she has been an avid surfer for over twenty years.
