The most wonderful Japanese restaurant in Yangon. It is loved by Westerners and Asians. Shopkeepers who have been cooking for over 20 years in Japan are serving dishes. Delicious Japanese foods accepted by Japanese people can be eaten at reasonable prices
Great cosy Japanese restaurant with the best friendly service. Go sit upstairs for a more intimate dining experience. The staff are simply brilliant, they greet you with a smile and serve you quietly and efficiently.

Kohaku Japanese Restaurant A taste of Japan with a choice of delicate sushi, delicious sake and more. Dine in relaxed ambience with private rooms available. LUNCH: 11:30 am to 2:30 pm DINNER: from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm
A bit pricey under Burmese standards but probably reasonable under Western standards. None of us had the sushi but all the cooked dishes we had, like the japanese curry, tempura, udon noodle were very good- felt very authentic japanese cooking.

Not cheap but the food is pretty decent. I ordered the agedashi tofu, tuna nigiri, American roll. Definitely recommend the agedashi tofu, but the sushi is just average. Came to about 7.2k kyat. Each sushi roll costs about 2k kyat.Clean establishment and fast service. Safe bet.

who would choose to have Japanese food in Myammar ?!?! we thought as well..we walked past Gekko several times, and couldnât help but notice the alluring lighting and decor. on our last day, we succumbed to the temptation. and went in for a snack. we ordered roasted egg plant salad, wasabi prawns, bao and a couple of drinks. we were pleasantly surprised by the tasty food. My hubby had tea-and-sympathy (tea sake n whisky w ginger honey), and i had movie-like-jaggery (bourbon, creme de cassis, plum jaggery) cocktail. the drinks were interesting; so original and inventive. what a pleasant surprise to find good japanese food and bar here! Thank you for your kind words Winnie, we are delighted to have been a pleasant surprise and are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed everything so much!
