I was impressed by the quality of the fish . My sashimi salad with citrus sauce was perfect . The dressing was original and complimented the salad to a tee . The portions are perfect and the selections are more than ample . The prices are very reasonable for the quality . I can't wait to go again . Perfect for a family or couples dinner. The atmosphere is warm and classy at the same time . Count me in!!!!

I am in Englewood on business about every quarter, and while I like the diner foods you can readily find here, there is only so much gravy a man can eat. So I checked google maps for some other options near where I stay and spotted Akai Lounge on the map. Checked the ratings, looked good, and reviews on Trip Adviser were most all positive so I gave it a shot. First thing you need to know about going to Akai, parking is a pain. You need to have a pocket of quarters if you park on the street. But now for a little inside baseball, there is a parking lot in the back with a machine that takes dollar bills and you only need to feed the machine if you are there BEFORE 6:00 PM. After six, free! So I get there for a happy hour sushi fix, only needed to pay for 30 minutes of parking and was free and clear from there. I sat at the bar (not the sushi bar) and ordered a salad (which was great, light and refreshing) then had the shrimp tempura (which was also great except for the tempura broccoli. I was not a fan of that at all). And then for the final course I has six pieces of salmon sashimi. Did I not want more, oh yes, I did. However, at almost $4 per piece it added up quick. Anyway, Akai is a little on the high side when it comes to food prices, but the service was good as was the food I got.

Great Japanese food in Dumont NJ. One of our regulars
Weâve being go eating at Well-Being Sushi since it opened and have reviewed the excellent food and friendly service many times. In fact, Well-Being Sushi and its owner/sushi chef have become friends and it is our favorite neighborhood restaurant where we dine weekly. However, I have never commented on its unusual name: âWell-Beingâ Sushi. Recently, I read a book about âhyggeâ the Danish (but actually Norwegian) word used to describe Scandinavian feelings of happiness, contentness, embrace, and comfort. In other words: âWell-Being.âAnd hygge is how I feel about going to, dining at, and leaving Well-Being Sushi. Everything fits together, the food is excellent particularly for the very reasonable prices, service is attentive, and we always leave happy!

Stopped in for lunch and they were closing so I went back a few days later.. Sushi was average. Nothing outstanding.. Was really disappointed.. Service is ok.. But sushi wasn't really fresh. Would not go back.. Umeya is way better.. totally about 20 notches up from here...

Four of us had a great dinner here. Thought the sushi was authentic and tasted great. Service was good. Expensive but worth it.
Tucked in at one side of the movie theatre in downtown Tenafly is a cultural oasis, a little bar that becomes larger in the imagination. Once you become aware of its secrets you'll want to return again and again. When you step up and in the door of Cactus Sushi, you are immediately confronted with a stark choice: sushi or juice? At first, it seems a bit strange, but if you have a bit of inventiveness, you can ask for anything. Today I had a medium carrot, beet, and kale juice with a yellowtail hand roll to stay.I sat at the minuscule counter looking out into the street, across the tracks, and onto the grounds of the rail station. The nori was green and lightly toasted. Its flavor blended smoothly in with the sweet tanginess of the rice. The rice warmed the fish, which was generously layered with a few scallions behind it for bite. The juice was cool, deep, and dark, simultaneously mysterious and colorful. The last time I visited Cactus Sushi, I heard the bells jangling as I stepped out the door. That's what brought me back. Or was it something else?
