Find out what Japanese restaurants to try in Stockholm. Often referred to as the Venice of the North, Stockholm never fails to wow both visitors and locals with its impressive cityscape spread over 14 different islands. While being the largest city in Scandinavia, it has successfully preserved its green core and struck the right balance between modern and traditional architecture, infused with luscious parks and forests. It's convenient to explore the central islands by foot, by bike, or as part of a boat tour; but don’t rush and do as the locals do: always save time for a fika (coffee and cake) in a local coffee shop.

This restaurant is mostly a sushi restaurant but have exciting variations of dishes. Very tasty and special. They also have a fantastic wine list and also a cellar. Make a reservation to be sure to get a table. Probably one of the top sushi restaurants in town. Also excellent service.

From the amuses to the desserts and sweet treats at the end of our multi-course menu, we had a masterclass in modern fine dining. With the exception of a raw scallop preparation and a monkfish dish, which were somewhat overwhelmed by their (admittedly delicious) garnishes, superb ingredients enhanced by masterly balances of acidity and textures spoke, loudly, for themselves.Service was virtually faultless.Frantzen is undeniably expensive, but offers fair value at this level and must surely be destined for the very top of the class.

Went to this restaurant after goggling some good places to eat in TA. Is a mixture of Japanese and Korean flavours. They have ramen, teppanyaki , bimbimbab ( Korean mixed rice ), sushi etc. Food was good and well presented. I ordered the Korean mixed rice with beef and the portion was huge. Good enough to share if you are a small eater. Coming from an Asian's perspective, I wouldn't say that the price is cheap but reasonably priced according to Sweden's standard. Service staff was very friendly too. Recommended if you are in the vinicity.

I had the luck to have a spot without reservation. The sushi was just perfect. Just like when you are in Tokyo and having fresh one next to the Tsukiji fish market.Atmosphere was ok. Service was ok.Expensive? yes.In short: best place for real sushi and sashimi. Don't expect the common western sushi plates of 20 at the same time. But this is the real thing. Very fresh. Perfect rice with perfect temperature and flavour.

When the hole in the wall sushi place closed in Medborgarplatsen, the best sushi place in Stockholm is Bistro Barbro. Best choice on the menu is the spicy tuna roll. The salmon roll is also great. And the mushroom soup that comes with the dumplings is to die for. Book ahead to make sure.
