Small restaurant on Broad Street in Augusta, I had a very well displayed Salmon sashimi dish with the pieces of sashimi forming a rose. Very fresh salmon, absolutely no fishy smell or taste. I thought the California rolls were a bit sub-par, but the ramen miso soup is excellent. Also, the iced tea is good.

Took 4 birthday folks for annual Japanese tonight. We normally go to another Japanese restaurant in town, but for some reason it was closed tonight. The waiter took our orders, brought our drinks, soup, and salads and then disappeared. The chef had to have several extra things brought because the orders were not correct, and at least 3 times during the meal the chef left to get drink refills, or other items. It was only after we had all our food that I went looking for the manager. We dramatically cut the waiterâs tip and shifted most of the tip to the chef. Now to comment on the food. Servings were large - more shrimp and bigger steaks than elsewhere, but they lacked seasoning disappointing me. Next time, we will go back to the other local Japanese restaurant, and if they plan to be closed on the night we want to go, we will have to pick a different day.

Soy is a demi-fusion type of Asian restaurant. Food is acceptable although you will never find such food in Asian countries. There are no chefs there, just cooks and fishmongers. The only exception is Kevin, who understands food and food presentation. For the rest who cuts fish at the sushi bar, one wonders why they are there - they do not understand fish or the art of serving Japanese sushi. Make sure you ask for Kevin at the sushi bar. You will not be disappointed.

I hadnât stopped here for a while. I was sad. The food is not as good as it once was. Menu us confusing. Options were more limited. Sushi was ok. Asparagus is still excellent. That was all.
