Had a delightful experience watching my food being prepared. The final product was flavorful with loads of fresh grilled onions and a rich, buttery white American cheese melted into the grilled and chopped meat. Their meat was so good, not full of sinew, and just the right amount of marbling. The bun was adequate and supported the filling, it was fresh and soft. My sandwich could have used a lot more seasoning. The onions supplied flavor, but the cheese was not very salty, so the actual meat was bland for my taste. I just added my own S&P and it really perked it up. Next time I will order with extra seasoning added while meat is grilling. If you prefer Provolone Cheese, just ask.

This was our first visit to Rudolfo's and were impressed with the freshness of the dishes. One of our party opts to eat gluten-free (not always possible in an Italian restaurant) and was promptly accommodated. The restaurant was busy for a Tuesday night. We had reserved but to little advantage. We managed to get the last open table for 4. The wine list is a little pricey as is the corkage fee. The service was prompt and accurate. Enjoyable dining.

The pizza was very good. It was flavorful, had just the right amount of toppings and the crust was light and chewy yet still crispy. The restaurant appeared clean and had an inviting interior with canvases of Italy and other nice decor. My hesitation in giving an excellent was related to the lack of customer service. Please be aware, if you are here for a first visit for dine in, you’ll need to order and pay at the counter before seating yourself. This was not immediately clear to us, as there was no sign at the door. We awkwardly stood at the entrance for a few minutes to get our bearings and then went to a booth. We were stared at but not greeted by the employees. As we were about to sit, I noticed a sign at the counter that read “order here” and so headed up. An employee apparently on break at a table seemed annoyed as she sighed loudly, slapped her napkin on the table and got up to take our order. She didn’t greet us or even asked what we wanted. I finally ordered and she, without speaking, walked off with the ticket. I walked back to the booth thinking we needed to pay after we ate. She turned around and yelled out in front of the entire restaurant, “You have to pay me before you can sit down!” Then she spoke rudely to the other girl working at the counter who had started ringing up our bill. That employee looked embarrassed and I felt sorry for her because she was at least trying to be helpful. It was at this point that we thought about leaving. If you own this business, please take the time to see what your customer experience looks like to a real customer and educate your staff about being friendly and making your customers feel welcome. Your pizza was very good and while this behavior could have been a one time occurrence, this experience will probably keep me from coming back.

Okay I am sorry for not checking in, taking pictures, my usual. I was so hungry, the smells were so good. Italian heaven on earth, in Hemet California. It was a business lunch before heading home. Something different was in order. We lived in San Jacinto Hemet area for a year and never stopped at this place. Bummer, bummer, bummer. I promise to make up for it.Maria took our order. I ordered the Leek soup, and the Lasagna. Tammy ordered the Crab Ravioli, Howard ordered the Chicken Jerusalem. The first thing Maria brought to the table was the bread. I could eat a whole loaf of that and I almost did. When she delivered the salads and my soup, I was already in eating euphoria from the bread, the Leek Soup... Best I have had in a restaurant. If I could have licked the bowl, I would have. She next delivered our lunches. I tried Howard's first, outstanding. The sauce was rich, the pasta excellent, the flavors I have not had before. He didn't eat it all, I took it with me, I will eat it when we get home. Tammy's Crab Ravioli was in a tomato base cream sauce. I was euphoric again. How does someone learn to cook that magnificent? My Lasagna was so delicious I forgot to ask for another bite of everyone else's. The sauce was a fresh exquisitely made tomato base. The pasta fresh, layered with ricotta, meatballs, and Italian sausage. Magnificent! I can't wait to go back and have the Veal saltimbocca Alla Romana. Thank you Maria, I am forever grateful to have tasted your food. See you in August
