The O Restaurant is located at the Le Vimarn Cottage Resort on Ao Prao beach. While staying at the beach we stopped in for a tasty Italian meal one evening. You may find the best tables with âreservedâ signs on them, however, if you ask what time the reservation is for you may find, like we did, that you have plenty of to enjoy your meal before the reservation arrives. We ordered the Lasagna Verde, which came with a side of lettuce, and the homemade Fettucine with Mushrooms and Asparagus in a cream sauce. The meal came with a side of bread. Both meals looked good when they arrived and there was no problem with the Lasagna Verde, however, the Fettucine came topped with ham â which was not on the menu â nor was it in a cream sauce. The wait staff stated that the new chef got the dish wrong and it was taken away and a new dish, without the ham, was quickly sent out from the kitchen. Even without the cream sauce, still not sure what type of sauce it was, the dish was tasty and so was the Lasagna Verde. The beach view in the evening is stunning.
Little gem of a place, close to the pier in front of the Sunrise villas. Ate here last year when it was run by an Italian. He has gone now but his food hasn't. Great carbonara and a really outstanding bruschetta for starters. Intimate atmosphere, only five tables, right on the water, but it's all outside so not the best choice if it's raining.

Located within Sunrise Villas-from Pier, walk uphill on main road for 2/3mins and its on the right. The breakfasts here are very good, quality ingredients and well presented-but the food could be a little hotter when it reaches you. There is a good choice on the breakfast/daytime/evening menu plus they do have offers on their Cocktails between 17.00-19.00.The setting is right next to the Ocean, with far reaching views.Well worth a visit.

Restaurant in the main village of Koh Samet serving excellent Pizzas and burgers, along with breakfasts and Thai Food
Went here for dinner after reading reviews on tripadvisor and was not disappointed. The pizza was very good - thin and crispy.Wouldâve liked to try the burgers as they had a lot of different options and looked good (we saw another table ordered one). The yellow curry was also tasty, and fried rice very good. Service was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

The place is located in the Pandora resort. The Irish chef Gary make the place for what it is. We stayed at Pandora for a week and had breakfast and lunch most of the days. Itâs well worth the money. Try the smoothies, they are stunning. English classic breakfast with good ingredients. The Thaifood are also a good choice. Pancakes yes of course. Go for it.A big thanks to Sein, the manager from Jersey who also contributed in the restaurant and made us feel more than pleased during the days. Hi Micheal, thanks for your kind review. Enjoy the rest of your time in koh samet. Hope you and the family come to visit us at The Hidden Gem again before you leave.

I recently spent a holiday on Ko Samed with my daughter. We had breakfast at the Funky Monkey our second morning and returned there pretty much every day.The breakfast is great, proper bacon and as good as sausages as you get. In the evenings we chose the pizza, freshly made and super tasty.Even better than the food was the team of staff. We were made to feel welcome from the first minute we arrived.John, his partner, Nano, Stan and all the team were so friendly, so full of useful information, local and otherwise, such great company we were genuinely sad to leave. We look forward to returning to the Funky Monkey next year. Our very best wishes.Andrew and Jasmine.Dear Andrew and JasmineWhat can I say? The pleasure was all mine. It was lovely to meet you both and I really enjoyed our chats. Thank you for the amazing review, itâs very kind of you. I really hope you can make it back next year, it will lovely to see you again. Until then.....Fondest regardsJohn
