After a day of wine tasting we did not want to leave the beautiful estate we rented. So; we had our concierge for our house deliver the pizza; not sure if the restaurant offers their own delivery. The pizzas were excellent. Fresh ingredients, great dough, perfectly cooked.

Worth a visit for some delicious food. Starter of pear soaked in Pinot with a touch of cinnamon & some cheese sauce was fab! My wife's pasta dish of Ziti with prawn veloute and smoked fish was fab! 9/10.My fried pasta with Hen of the Wood mushrooms was a tad too subtle for me & I wouldn't go for fried pasta again. Prefer stronger flavours, personally.Quiet for a Friday though, which affected atmosphere. We were the only other table in there from 7:30 to almost 8:30, when another couple came in. Lighting the fire would have added to the atmosphere & warmth. (Bit chilly.)$12 a glass Pinot was poor but my $10 organic glass of Cab Sauv was delicious!Hope it gets busier!Dear GuestThank you for your feedback. We always work to improve and to bring a better experience and we take in very serious consideration every review. We hope your next experience with us will go better.

We were out on the motor cycle and stopped to get a beer and salad noticing the small deck was open. We sat outside and just after the salad was delivered, we were told we had to bring it inside so they could close the door to turn on the air conditioning. We had no desire to sit inside a bar, but there was no effort to compromise or provide good customer service. The solution was simple. We were the only ones on the deck (midafternoon no one there) and it would have been simple to just close the door 90%, let us finish our beer and salad (20 minutes) and we would have left happy customers. At a minimum, buy us an appetizer - do something to make us feel good. Thatâs how you take care of people. In this case the owner, who has been at this a long time either couldnât figure it out or didnât care â neither which are acceptable. On a side note, we went across the street to a restaurant that has a very cute courtyard where you will find the best Bruschetta youâll ever have.

Who says you can't go back home again. Every dining experience at the Union Hotel is like being home. Every patron is treated like family. Barb (one of the owners) is a goddess who makes everyone feel special. Gien, Barbâs daughter, is an all-star and the sweetest. The Gonnella family has owned this establishment since 1879. They have managed to maintain the standards that made The Union Hotel excellent while incorporating progressive additions. My family has been coming here for generations, and we have never been disappointed. The food is unbelievable. Authentic Italian. Once you experience the Union Hotel you will continue to return. The restaurant is charming. There is a very quaint Saloon, and a beautiful outdoor patio. I also have to mention the Bakery with the best chocolate, chocolate chip cookies ever. So yummy. I was just up there again for my birthday, and it was awesome. The pizza is so amazing, I'm still dreaming of it. Many thanks to Teddy, our server, for accommodating our special request. My other favorites are the minestrone soup, ribeye steak, ravioli, chicken parm, and polenta, etc. The dinners are family style, so come with an empty stomach, and be prepared for leftovers. Quality and quantity. If you get a chance to stay overnight, their guesthouses are so beautiful. They are surrounded by gorgeous woods, and serenity. They also host weddings in their grove, and receptions and events in their Ballroom. Just do yourself a favor, and go melt into one of the best experiences you will ever have. Unique and nostalgic. The Union Hotel is a home away from home.
