On the Aegean's eastern, edge the Dodecanese present perfect Greek vistas of whitewashed walls, turquoise blue skies and seas. Island-hopping by ferry, hydrofoil or catamaran is a splendid way to get into the leisurely pace. Once docked, you'll find many of these twelve idyllic islands are easily explored on foot. Don't miss Rhodes' Acropolis, the ruins of ancient Kamiros and Valley of the Butterflies or Kos' Askepion ruins. Tiny Patmos is known for the cave of St. John of the Apocalypse.

We went there with Vasilis from Balaskas hotel. This was a day which we won’t forget for the rest of our life. Vasilis is unique, 70+ years old living book, local, lovely man who is always ready to share his life experiences and Karpathos stories with you. Saria is quiet, peaceful island, with rich history, there living animals and few great bays. It is a 8+ hours long trip but sadly time goes by really quickly while sitting in a boat, staring in the blue sea with sorounded islands and listening to Vasilis’s singing. Trip also includes swimming in the caves and swimming in 2 bays. You can also choose boat trip with hiking on Saria.
