A small, but outstanding restaurant with some interesting ideas on modern French food. The table service was top-notch and whilst the food wasn't cheap, it represented good value for money. Wine selection was also first class and suggestions made by the waiter regarding which wines to have with our meals were considered and worthwhile. This establish is well worth a visit- go ahead and book it!

We stayed at the hotel either end of a Tasmania holiday via ferry. We ate at Windows on both occasions. The meals are not cheap but worth every penny. I had the scotch fillet steak which was cooked to perfection on both occasions. Sally had the five spice duck and the lamb shoulder. Both were great. This is a great estaurant not just for hotel guests. Service was impeccable - thank you in particular to Guillame.

Straits Cafe offers authentic international cuisine that showcases the finest local and organic produce. Enjoy a meal made with fresh seasonal ingredients, complemented by the restaurant's refined ambiance. The friendly staff at our restaurant in Melbourn
At $59 per person or even the groupon voucher discount of $29 per person, I expect high tea to be a special treat, not a horrible experience that leaves me feeling utterly cheated and ripped off. At their high tea experience the waiter came round with a jug of watered down teabag tea and another jug of watered down percolater coffee. I asked what other options were available and was told ordering anything else would incur an additional cost. The absolute essence of a high tea experience is having a choice of teas prepared by the pot or a choice of coffee. In addition, a voucher offer is supposed to be a chance for restaurants to show off to potential new customers, not treat them like second class schmucks. I left this underground room feeling that I'd been served a low ball instead of high tea. I strongly advise against making a booking here.

Lentil As Anything, St Kilda, provides delicious food on a pay-as-you-feel basis to all members of the community.
This vegan restaurant, which is located not far from St. Kilda beach and Luna Park offers a wide range of dishes even including burgers and lasagna. After the lunch I enjoyed a nicely prepared cappuccino, which additionally had some art within the milk foam. As far as I know the place employs mostly volunteers who are willing to learn new things or just contribute something for the society. Their business model is based on tips, which means that people leave a donation in the end based on their willingness to pay. During my 6 weeks in Melbourne I went twice because I extremely enjoyed the inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend to visit this place if you are visiting Melbourne â especially for vegans it is a must!

Fun fine dining by Executive Chef John Rivera, and the eccentric Lume team of restaurant renegades. Contemporary Australian cuisine with a focus on native Australian ingredients and Asian influence.
We had the seven course tasting menu at Lume and found it to be excellent, without exception. Even the chicken course was good, something you would not normally expect from a tasting menu, as was the marron. The restaurant itself is very intimate and the staff very helpful, would definitely recommend.
