Ljutomer (pronounced [ˈljuːtɔmɛɾ] ( listen); German: Luttenberg in der Steiermark) is a town in northeastern Slovenia, some 40 km east of Maribor. It is the seat of the Municipality of Ljutomer. Traditionally it was part of the region of Styria. It is now included in the Mura Statistical Region. The economy of Ljutomer is largely based on grape farming and wine making.

The restaurant is nice with terrace and large parking. It is on nice location away from crowd and tourist destinations.The menu is minimalistic with limited selection. It contains a few local dishes and a few international dishes.The wine list contained just house wine.The table settings is part usual with normal plates part vintage from socialistic times with tin plates and tin bowls.The food tasted average like in a big hotel restaurant.The disappointment was the quantity of the food. I ordered what was called on the menu "Real Vienna steak" with cranberries and potatoes. Unfortunately the price was like in Vienna but the steak was less that half the normal size.

Wir haben Salatteller mit Putenstreifen gegessen. Es war eine groÃe Portion und auch sehr schmackhaft. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und die Preise sind in Ordnung ( 8 ⬠für eine Portion).

For 1 Eur you get a generous scoop of good quality creamy ice cream on a good quality cone. Friendly staff, clean toilets, good coffee.Visited twice. Looks like a place that the locals are happy to go to. Had the hazel nut, cookies and cream and yoghurt with berries but they have more flavours. The best we have had so far over 2 trips to Slovenia. Ljutomer is a lovely unspoilt, quiet and friendly part of Slovenia.
