Cochabamba (Aymara: Quchapampa, Quechua: Quchapanpa) is a city & municipality in central Bolivia, in a valley in the Andes mountain range. It is the capital of the Cochabamba Department and is the fourth largest city in Bolivia, with a population of 630,587 according to the 2012 Bolivian census. Its name is from a compound of the Quechua words qucha, meaning "lake", and pampa, "open plain". Residents of the city and surrounding areas are commonly referred to as cochalas, or, more formally, cochabambinos.

We arrived on Sunday with 18 in our party and we're delighted from start to finish. The show included dancers and musicians. Arriving early and getting your food order in is the way to go. Food and service were excellent.

A lot of thought, energy, and investment have been but into (re-opened) La Campana. From an architecture and interior design perspective - gentle lighting, excellent use of materials including solid flooring and traditional "hacienda style" wood doors/adornments, and other thoughtful aesthetic touches - this is one of the best establishments in Cochabamba. The service is also good and attentive, a key component so frequently lacking. The revised menu was OK though the Philly cheesesteak, with chewy meat not cut for this kind of sandwich, seems to have declined a bit since a previous visit. Hamburgers and salads were tasty and with sizeable portions. The disappointment was the continued emphasis on Corsa beer, which is undoubtedly one of the worst available. If the managers wish to emphasis beer as much as the menu indicates, I'd suggest they offer/promote only good quality beers and mixed drinks.

A small, inviting and cozy restaurant with more than 30 years of experience. Our speciality is a delicate american- italian fusion cuisine. We do not have a traditional italian taste, but you will be sure to find a well balanced homemade pasta carefully c
The world 'cantonata' in Italian means 'blunder'... the restaurant provided just that. There is no much Italian in it, excluding the music that they play. The menu is not made by an Italian and neither the chef can be. From the appetizers to the pastas to the desserts all recipes have been modified and lost their appeal. We ordered salad, lasagna, puttanesca pasta and the mixed appetisers plate. The salad was the only good dish. The rest was poorly prepared with ingredients that do not belong to Italian flavours.I left disappointed.I understand that there is scarcity of ingredients in Bolivia, but this is not a good reason to give up good cooking altogether... especially at that price. No, Cantonata quiere decir esquina, es lo único que en su reseña merece respuesta.
