I recently visited this restaurant on my trip to Ireland. I ordered the crab claws and they were delicious. The portion for the price was really good value. It's right on the water and the views outside are extremely beautiful. I highly recommend this place.

We had lunch here after a wonderful walk near Lough Inagh. The food was excellent and well-priced and we were able to eat outside with a view on the Lough. Really magical. I'd love to return and stay in the hotel.

Dinner for 2 on a weekday night was perfectly respectable. I had a great mushroom starter followed by rack of lamb which was good, but nothing outstanding. The restaurant (like it's hotel) seems to cater for older clientele - nothing wrong with that, but it felt like they were content to be just slightly above average.

We tried to book lunch at Ashford Castle and the only thing available was lunch at the Cullen's restaurant in the castle. We were not disappointed. The food was exquisite, the service was superb. Would go back again.Dear STEWART L,Thank you for the time you took to share your feedback. We are delighted to learn you had an enjoyable visit and look forward to welcoming you back again soon.Sincerely,

Going on reviews, we (two couples) booked in for dinner last night.Have to say that we weren't over-impressed. The atmosphere is great, and the staff very friendly. Our young waitress was particularly good. The food - sirloin steak, fish and chips, and salmon (2) was ok. It was let down by dry, powdery-tasting chips, and by being rather over-priced - not least the ice cream at 6.95 euros.A bit disappointing really.
