Despite having a 'deal' from Groupon we were not made to feel like 2nd class diners like in some other establishments. Everything from the first greeting at the door to a sad goodbye was perfect. Food was interesting and delicious, many ingredients were new to us so it was a dinner full of new discoveries. Service was friendly and warm and the restaurant itself looks cool and fresh, very welcoming.

Hidden off busy King St, this is an oasis of motorcycle workshop and dining place.Although the tables were communal, all diners were seated at the ends allowing for quiet conversations without being in the face of the next diner. The service was professional and friendly, with short explanations of the food. The beers were great and so was the coffee. The sardine katsu was just delicious with the thick soft serve white bread, just enough slaw and wasabi. I havenât had a good steak frites in ages and this was delightful. Cooked rare with an amazing charred outside, it was truly enjoyable. The butter with mushrooms and fungus was unusual but felt right with the steak. We had the pandan dessert with palm sugar honeycomb. It was very different yet good.I am glad I had the opportunity to try their creative food.

We love all good food, but we are especially passionate about Australiaâs wonderful array of local fish and seafood, freshly caught every day. Oysters are one of our obsessions. And while you are exploring our daily menus or simply sharing a plate of oyst
The location was fantastic with stunning view. It wasn't too difficult to find parking during the week. The food was lovely. Service was pretty good during the meal. However, the arrangement for payment I gave the staff upon arrival could be executed a bit more smoothly. I provided them with my credit card on arrival in order to avoid fighting over who pays the bill at the end. When we asked for the cheque, the waiter was not aware of the arrangement and I had to remind him that I had already left them with my credit card. I was hoping for a more seamless process.

Hands down the best meal I had in Sydney when I visited last week.I ordered for starters: Kingfish tiradito with chili, sweet potato & citrus. It was fresh and delicious, although it was a little too much lime for me but still lovely. For entrée I had Duck confit with lentils & pumpkin salad. I was concerned of overeating (and wanting to have a dessert), and Head chef Chris made sure that I had the best time by customizing it with a yummy pumpkin salad. The duck itself was tender and full of flavour. Finally for dessert I had Tim Tam âno bakeâ Cheesecake. It had the appearance of a Tiramisu but taste of a cheesecake. And you can never get it wrong with Tim Tams. This was a sweet end to a brilliant 3 course meal.Hi 653anthonyo, firstly thank you so much for taking the time to review us and we are so pleased you had such a great experience dining with us. We agree that Tim Tams are always a great idea - it's an amazing dessert experience. We hope to see you and your friends back at Jack and Knife very soon!
