Nice everything. Very good value. The only issue was that the room key card failed to open the room door 2 days in a row. My wife waited at the room door while I went down to the front desk from the 3rd floor to get the key reactivated. The only reason I mention that is because I really enjoyed the stay and wanted to rate my stay, but I had to give 200 characters minimum.

Stay Away

Non-smoking hotel - NOPE. They reserve entire first floor for smokers. When you enter lobby you are overwhelmed. TV, refrigerator, and hair dryer did not work. Call the front desk? NO PHONE. They switched the TV and brought me a new hair dryer that never got mounted. Talk about a safety issue. Phone brought but the port is behind bed - NEVER PLUGGED IN. Clean towels - NOPEE. Repeatedly asked for clean towels, basically had to go down and get them myself. Hot breakfast - NOPE. Paper bag with granola bar, fruity, yogurt and sugar water disguised as apple juice.

Do not book this hotel. Absolutely disgusting. They could film a horror movie here. We didn’t touch the bed. Nothing felt safe or comfortable. We turned around and handed the key back in. First red flag is the sign on office door says absolutely no refunds allowed.

Straight Nasty

The blonde lady that works front desk is disrespectful. The owners are the same. Cockroaches everywhere..rooms smell like a dead body. The housekeeper doesn't do a very good job. He looks like a bum of the street trying to make a quick buck.they disrespected my mother by calling her everything but her name. They threw all my elderly mom belongings in the dumpster and made her dig it out if she wanted to keep it....very rude service. I would die before I rent from them

John Allen House Bed and Breakfast

John Allen House is an Eastlake Victorian Mansion finished in 1881. One of the few remaining mansions from the Gilded Age, the house retains the original high ceilings, wood and brass details, 25 rooms, 30 chandeliers, and 9 fireplace mantles. Open to the public since 2002, John Allen House features 4 suites with private baths as well as 2 public dining areas, 3 sitting porches, 1 screened gazebo, 2 fire pits, and 1 grill. Greene County has many attractions; our bike trails are recognized among the finest in the nation, and the "hub" (Xenia Station) of five trails is just four blocks away. Bike storage is offered at the house and groups up to 16 are welcome. The main dining features filtered water, ice, food storage, 24-hour snacks, and minor cooking facilities. Other nearby popular attractions are the Air Force Museum, Young's Jersey Dairy and Clifton Mills. The eclectic town of Yellow Springs, the antique shops of Waynesville, the Outlet Malls and the Greene Outdoor strolling mall are all just a 15-30 drive away. Or just come to relax; sit and have a chat, enjoy your iced tea with a gentle breeze on the porch. Listen to birdsongs and pass time.

A Warm, Cozy Hug of History

Tucked away, just off downtown Xenia is John Allen House Bed & Breakfast. It's a Victorian manor dating back to the 1880s. The home is filled with wonderful architecture and stained glass. Currently, the residence has four to five suites, each with their own name. I stayed in the Hospitality suite. It was well appointed and included a few modern day treats, like flat screen TV and cell phone chargers of many types. The true gem is the service and hospitality given to each and every guest. Sherry and Wes attend to your every want and need. Their warm friendly down to earth nature make your visit top notch. Not far from Dayton, OH and a fan favorite of the cycling community, stop in to John Allen House and treat yourselves.
