Rude and mean staff Daniella Chung

Reviewed By Huang H

Intercontinental Sydney Double Bay is having a terrible staff in the hotel - DANIELLA CHUNG, an assistant manager of front office. She is extremely rude, impolite, and unprofessional. She shouted at, confronted guests and hung up on guests. She adopted an air of indifference and gave guests scornful look. She even bitched about guests with the other staff on duty. She’s not wearing properly in a professional suit (wearing casually with sloppy hair style and look). This is very different from what I experienced with other staff at this hotel. The other staff were professional and friendly. The hotel should stop having Daniella Chung, who is apparently does not have either attitude or professionalism to be in her role.

A tired old lady.

Reviewed By Philippa S

I had always wanted to stay at this hotel and finally got a chance! Unfortunately I was disappointed as the grand old lady is very tired and is in desperate need of an upgrade. The hallway carpets are revolting and that is the first thing you notice. Rooms were clean, ours was a superior room out the back with one tiny window and tiny bathroom. Bed was good though. For the money it is not great value. However it is in a great area .

Great spot, could only be better if they let you take your doggo

We stayed here in March, just a one night get away and found the room comfortable, the service relaxed but attentive and the views of the harbour were fabulous. We enjoyed lots of walks around the area, the park next door and nearby cafes. We ate at the restaurant in front which was great, casual dining with lots of locals, families and pets. We had a balcony over looking the restaurant and didn’t experience any issues with noise. For us as staycationers, it would have been perfect if they offered a dog friendly option. We would definitely be back with our little furry mate …
