Charged for a Suite after I got moved
Reviewed By 934allenbOk... so coming here because it had an open room and the other 3 places I called were full. I ended up booking a king suite. Paid for the room. Asked for a receipt. Desk person told me I would have to wait until person after her came in to get one. I asked what the pool hours were and was informed it was out of order. I go park and head to my room. Guy at the vending machines was grumbling about them not working. Got to my room with arms full of luggage and my key doesn't work. I'm on the second floor so I hoof back down to the desk and get a sorry about that. She gives me a new key and head to my room. Walk in - nice room- kinda warm- so I turned on the AC and started unpacking. I just finished and the desk person shows up and tells me that there was a note that the AC didn't work in that room and if that's a problem I can take a different room down the hall. I accept the other room and start moving my stuff. Its smaller - not a suite and not as nice. Get settled in and head to the vending machine to get something to drink... yep not working. I got to kwik trip and come back. When I stop at the front desk to ask if there is a price difference for the smaller room, she tells me that she only charged me for the smaller one. I asked how much and she told me the same price I was quoted for the suite! When I confront her about it she tells me that the suite is actually 40 dollars more. I explain that that's not what she told me on the phone or when I got there. She tells me " Well I guess I could always give you a refund and you can try to find somewhere else. " I just left and headed to my room and sat down to write this review. I guess now atleast I have AC....

Reviewed By ottd2022We brought our grandchildren out for winter sports in Wisconsin and our stay here was wonderful. The adjoining rooms were clean, spacious and updated. The location was right off the expressway, so easy to get to. People were friendly!

Reviewed By Eddie7809Very nice & clean. Staff was very helpful.Continental breakfast was good & rooms were nice. Comfortable beds. Restaurants are near by, and close to everything. No pool or whirl pool, or sauna. That was the only down side.

Reviewed By rylieshannonNot the cleanest by far, but it was okay. The couch was broke on one arm and there was burn holes from cigarettes on it(even though it was a no smoking room). The carpet looked like it wasn’t installed properly or was pulled up in a few areas. Lastly, there was garbage from previous customers throughout the room, like this soda bottle laying between the bed and table.

Beautiful nearly new hotel with wonderful staff and one typical design flaw...
Reviewed By RDG66This hotel is very new, has a very nice staff, is in a good location, and has nicely designed rooms with everything you could want or need. The TV has vast viewing options, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, the bathroom is modern with excellent water quality/pressure, there is enough storage areas, and the kitchen is comprehensive. The pool and gym looked nice though we never used them. Overall nearly perfect, but then again, nothing is perfect… Our room had a very typical design flaw. The climate system blows directly on the bed. And the worst part is that the system starts up like a jet engine blowing cold air for the first couple of minutes until the heating element warms. I woke a couple of times in the night to the sound of it along with the blast of cold air. If we had stayed a second night I would have moved the sofa in front of the unit. We experienced a similar issue in a newer Marriott SpringHill Suites, so it seems to be a typical design failure in my opinion. The only other slight disappointment was breakfast, but only because my wife prefers cooked items rather than just grab and go type offerings. For me it was fine as I just have cereal normally. Too bad the designers of these newer Marriott suite hotels cannot avoid blasting sleeping guests with cold air, but all in all this is a wonderful hotel that most people will absolutely love!
