La haule Manor has been awarded 5 star guest accommodation and was originally an 18th century Manor House. La Haule Manor is situated in beautifully landscaped gardens, commanding magnificent views over St. Aubins Bay and just a 5 minutes walk from the delightful harbour village of St. Aubin. 12 different restaurants are available for your evening meals in St Aubin or why not be driven to and from our Sister property for that special evening meal. Sandwiches and drinks can be provided all day in our bar or lounge or why not have a relaxing afternoon by the pool.
We have stayed in several hotels and guest houses around St Aubin and this is our favourite so far. You will be met by extremely welcoming staff who go above and beyond for you and provide an efficient service. Our room was no.17 with large bathroom, powerful shower and slightly firm but comfortable bed. A put me up was available for our 7 year old. We had no issues with traffic noise and maybe a sea view would be nice but we didn’t ask for it so didn’t get one. Breakfast was excellent, fresh pastries and good selection together with choice of cooked breakfasts which were freshly made and very tasty. Special mention to Chris who picked us up and dropped us back at the airport. He is a very friendly chap and an asset to the hotel. Finally, yes the pool was closed but the offer of transport to and from their sister hotel was readily offered but not required. Overall La Haule has the kerb appeal and carries it off really well. Anyone staying in St Aubin should definitely consider it.

My husband and I visited Jersey with our dogs, to stay with friends. We found The Old Court House via the Visit Jesey website as a dog friendly restaurant. I chose to eat here specifically as they had lobster on the menu. We dined "downstairs" in "the dog friendly bit". Booking was straightforward and we were even able to push our reservation back a bit after a busy day although on arrival we could see why as the place was pretty dead. When arrived the young waitress behind the bar was on her phone however, did quickly spot us and come off it to seat us. There was a wait to get menus, order drinks, order food and for our food to be served. When I enquired about the price of the lobster as it's POA on the menu I was bluntly told "we don't have lobster" with no apology or acknowledgement of my obvious disappointment. I opted for a sirloin steak instead. My husband ordered the chateaubriand with scallops. No steak knives were laid. My sirloin tasted like a cheap, pub rump and was cooked medium, instead of medium-rare as requested. I fed the majority of the steak to my dogs, enjoying the chips and my husband's scallops and ordering a pizza from St. Helier on the way back. My husband ate his steak but didn't enjoy it. The meal cost us £130 (without alcohol) so we weren't pleased. We weren't asked how the food was by our server when they cleared our plates and they weren't around as we ate, to be able to let them know our issues; we struggled to get drinks when empty for the same reason. The pepsi was nice. The ladies toilets were poorly fitted with a broken mixer tap which was loose and ill fitted and handwash jammed into it's wall fitting making it difficult to use. This could be a lovely place - it had a nice, cosy, relaxed ambience - but the food was very poor and the service was slow and inattentive. A complete waste of an evening and £130. We wouldn't return or recommend to others.

Nestling on the hillside, overlooking the yachting harbour the village of St. Aubin and the bay beyond, the views from the Somerville hotel are breathtaking. The hotel is one of the Island's finest country house hotels and is well know for its warm welcome and excellent reputation with guests appreciating its discreet location and emphasis is on indulgence and style.
Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, a true gem. Beautifully presented meals and good service. Charming ensuite room, slept so well, will be staying again. The hotel has a character of itself, wonderfully quirky little touches if you look.

Room number 12 is very small, sit on the toilet your feet can be in the shower, hand basin is in the room. To open the wardrobe you need to move the chair. No room for cases other than on top the wardrobe. View was amazing over the harbour. Location good near the bus stop. Staff were attentive and friendly. Room could have been cleaner, they need to take 5 minutes to hoover the edges of the room and wipe the top of the wardrobes if that's where suitcases need to be stored. Room serviced daily bins emptied and, tea coffee refreshed clean towels, bed made etc.
