Set in the relatively unexplored Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll in the south of the country - just a few kilometres from the equator - the island offers 122 spacious villas and suites, all with private pools, butler and thoughtful five-star detailing. Traditional thatched-roof water-villas stand on stilts over the resort's peaceful lagoon, while beach villas offer absolute privacy amid tropical greenery alongside powder-soft palm-lined white beaches. Food lovers can explore the six restaurants and bars, while those seeking complete relaxation will find their haven in the large spa set in beautiful tropical gardens which boasts a Turkish Hammam as well as a Vichy Shower and eight private treatment villas. The resort is noted for its gardens and tropical greenery and is ringed by a pristine coral reef where dolphins are frequent visitors. The active can explore the area on a host of excursions that include visits to the equator, local villages and fishing trips, while at the resort they can play tennis or badminton, take up watersports, learn yoga or simply hit the 24-hour gym. Outstanding diving and snorkeling opportunities surround the island on reefs that have barely been visited by humans while some of the country's best surfing breaks are just a quick speedboat journey away. We’re located on a secluded private island 400km south of the Maldives capital Male, in the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, an Indian Ocean paradise accessed only by speedboat. This isolated haven, with its tropical greenery, crystal-clear turquoise waters and white sandy beaches, is the paradise that is Amari Havodda Maldives. Reserved just for you, this untouched sanctuary allows you to truly disconnect and recharge on your own terms. Featuring 120 beachfront and overwater villas, Amari Havodda Maldives offers an impressive selection of leisure and sporting activities, and unique dining experiences under the stars.
Amari is the best accommodation for a honeymoon. We had a very lovely and relaxing time. Our host named Murooj was very friendly and helpful. He was always available for our requests and took care of them. The food and drinks at the restaurant/bar is fresh and very delicious. The staff is always kind and each of them had always a smile for us. The deluxe beach villa is great. Just a few steps away from the beach and very private. The house reef is very impressive and we saw sharks, turtles, manta rays and a lot of different fishes. We can recommend the sunset cruise with dolphin search. We had a lot of fun to find the dolphins together with the crew. Finally we found a group with approximately 20 dolphins. All in all we had a wonderful time at Amari and we definitely will come back again.

Overall experience was fantastic!!! Its a family owned business which is very well kept. They gave us a great welcome with a welcome drink and detailed explanation of the area. Food was fantastic. Mr. Asadullah did an excellent job and was a great guide. We stayed there for 6 nights, went for jet skiing, made a trip to deserted island, snorkeling experience was fabulous as the atoll around the island is the best in maldives for diving and snorkeling with lively reef. It is also near Kodhoo airport.
