A boutique resort situated on a beautiful sandy beach surrounded by a lagoon with sparkling clear warm waters, safe for snorkeling and swimming. Bungalows are self contained with some cooking facilities, catering for families, singles or couples. All have outdoor showers enclosed within the bungalow to enable you to have a shower under the stars. Restaurant is on the beach also for those pina coladas or cold beers while you watch the magical sunsets for which this area is renowned.Resort has a glass bottom boat and fishing charters with fishing gear provided operating from the beach. the resort provides filtered and ultra violet treated safe drinking water straight from the taps within the accommodations. That water is provided also to the villagers free of charge to reduce any sickness. The septic system is an evapo-transpiration system which prevents any leakage into our beautiful lagoon. The coral in the lagoon includes brain coral some of which is about one thousand years old.
We booked 3 units last June 2020 and had the most incredible week swimming in the most amazing beach, rooms were a great size with beautiful views of the ocean and the food was great especially fresh fish and fruit. The staff were so humble and really looked after all of us. We have again booked 3 units for next week, 22nd May for a week but due to the coronavirus we unforutunately cannot cross the border into Samoa. Please would the Manager reply to the repeat emails I have been sending to change dates and contact Hotel.com. Regards Deborah - New Zealand

We are located on the white sandy beaches of Manase, on the Island of Savaii. Our Villas, Suites and Euro Fales are just steps to the ocean’s edge and our restaurant, bar and function fale are situated within the tropical garden on the inland side of our property. With so many options, you're sure to find something that meets your needs and budget. Traditional materials are used throughout the resort to create a rustic appeal in our Villas, Euro Fales and the Restaurant. Stevenson’s Luxury Suites have modern samoan decor, using bright colours fused with old-world Samoan carvings, tapa designs and exquisite lava rock. Stevensons is the ideal spot for honeymooners and those seeking peace and quiet – swim or snorkel in the cool, clear blue water or simply relax on the beautiful white sandy beach and listen to the gently lapping waves. Simply paradise!
The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and the service was fantastic. My family had a blast, kayaking and enjoying the beach and the pools. The beds very comfortable and the air-con was heaven sent. The foods at the restaurant was delicious quite pricey but to be expected. If I'm in Savaii again I'll be back still at the non peak season tho because it was nice and quiet.

Visited savaii on the weekend with family for the palolo fest, we drove out to vaimoana to look for accomodation n found they were fully booked, all resorts on that end were all booked out. We spoke to the front officer i think her name is michelle n found her very accomodating friendly n professional as she tried to help us by calling other hotels around the area to see if any availability for us. Because it is palolo season this is the place to be, as it is very convenient to join the village or catch palolo early hours of the morning which we got to experience this n would like to thank rosie n saleimoa the lovely owners of vaimoana for going out of there way to try and find us a room as we had no where else to stay, we truly appreciate your hospitality. I highly recommend this place as the staff are very friendly and very approchable. Thank you also for finding the gin i wanted for the night. Will defenitly be back again with all my family.

There is still a place that time forgot. Where the crowds haven't yet reached, where the guidebooks haven't ruined, where local children splash and play in a pristine lagoon lapping at golden sands just inside of an empty, funneling right-hander. On the lesser-known island of Savai'i, a short ferry ride from Upolu in the Independent State of Samoa (formerly Western Samoa), a road leads to a lost corner of the earth called Aganoa Beach (roughly translated: The Place Where No One Lives). Here, at Aganoa, lies a surfer's - and non-surfer's - paradise. A consistent, world-class reef break peels into a channel just 50 yards in front of a restaurant perched at the sea. A gentle, idyllic lagoon lined with a picture-perfect beach hugs the verdant, manicured grounds in seemingly endless and fragrant bloom. Eight airy, newly-renovated and self-contained fales (bungalows) doze near the sea. While primarily Aganoa caters to surfers (only 8 at a time) seeking its guaranteed uncrowded waves, Aganoa - like Savai'i itself - is also the perfect place for the family. With an array of activities from kayaking, fishing, snorkeling and more, both on-site and island-wide, Aganoa is a stress-free destination without the exorbitant price tag that most destinations of this caliber attach. Couple that with Samoa's beautiful Polynesian culture and people - and you may never want to return home... With empty waves just outside your fale, in this private piece of Eden surrounding your companion or family, it's not hard to see how - thankfully - time forgot about Aganoa. And moreover, how easy it is to forget about time.
Now if your planning a trip to Samoa you already are aware that this beautiful island is off the beaten path... So bring your ammenities!!!!!!! Also is reliant on the ferry delivering goods!!!! So bad weather = poor delivery... now that we have that out of the way... This resort is special! It’s not the Sheraton and it’s not 5 star. It’s a family owned point... it’s a policy of no more than 8 in the water... so you can have sunset surfs with your love all by your self’s! Yep! You will have no windows, but the ocean is intense and mesmerising. It’s got the most amazing feel! It’s about 3- out 5 on comfort, but 6 -out of 5 for hospitality... You can ask the staff anything... they will take you free of charge.... it’s like they bring you in to their home, and allow you to really experience the TRUE SAMOA not the hotel version... so please remember this... I see the last review and it’s like ok!!! Ripped mosquito nets.... they have like 50, ask them to replace it! They would do that for you the following day.... as the staff doesn’t all live on site... Now if your ok to live like a happy Samoan eating fresh tune from the sea most nights... this place is for you!!!! But please me mindful that you will need to bring your own snacks between meals as you will be very hungry... we did fresh mangoes from the market!

On two occasions we spent a while here while waiting for transport. We met with such kindness from the friendly manager and staff, and were impressed to see the extensive improvements which are nearing completion. Only a few metres from the busy, hot street, the public areas were a pretty piece of cool, breezy paradise with lovely views. We did not stay overnight. And by the way, our Jetz rental car was excellent!
