Quinta dos Tesouros is a product of a construction recovered from a traditional old house of 1931. It is ecological, based on stone and ceramic in the region. It is a paradise among oak trees and carob trees, situated in Sitio do Tesoureiro in S. Bras. Is set in a rural Arab heritage, 20 minutes from Faro Airport and 3 minutes from the town of Sao Bras de Alportel. It offers 10 rooms full of romanticism and light, all with private bathrooms, and some of them with two bath spaces (bath and shower base) and also some extras like heated towel hot water, hair dryer, shower bench to sit on and alarm. All rooms and bathrooms have underfloor heating hot water and air conditioning and all are equipped with wardrobe, multi-channel TV by satellite and free wifi, minibar, safe and electric coffee maker. It has a massage room and a romantic garden with an olive tree 2000 years and a prehistoric menhir stone. There is also a bar where we serve some snacks with a glass of red wine, the sound of water streams and the singing of frogs. The existing furniture was recovered and all of it has a story, like the old ark located in the area of library and oil pots around the halls. Quinta dos Tesouros offers a breakfast surprise, stylish Sierra with regional high quality products. We also prepare traditional dinners with prior order. We are traditional sweets manufacturers (fig, almond, carob and honey) and liqueurs. Guests can still rediscover the heritage by visiting the region: Cork Factory The distillery arbutus and fig - The Shoemaker The mill of oil from Chibeira and Sta. Catarina The factory regional tiles The Costume Museum and the Museum of Alportel The Roman Calcadinha The ruins of Milreu The Churches of Alportel and S. Romao Sources Treasurer and Tareja The spouts and the old washing of Vilarinhos They can go biking, horse and foot, which were able to identify the medicinal and aromatic herbs in the region and the carob, almond, fig and olive trees, and even make pik-nik. By nightfall, Quinta dos Tesouros is endowed with a distinct beauty, with the music of crickets, cicadas, owls, and later a dislumbrante sky, in which the Creator's glory seems to fall on us and enlightens us with many stars, planets , comets and constellations. In the morning can watch the sunrise and watch and listen to the birds become chirped of multiple attending the fifth. On the way to the pool, goats greet the first guests. We have free private parking. Tourism for all The building is equipped with an elevator and good accessibility including a ramp in saltwater pool, outside.
Staying nearby we cycled here for breakfast arriving before they opened. A nice lady informed us they open at 09:00 and invited us to look around the gardens to watch her feed the goats and chickens while we waited. Lovely, thank you. We walked to the cafe at the front looking forward to a coffee with a staff member informing us the don’t open until 09:00. Surprised I glanced at the time and it was 08:59. Oh well we can cope but would have preferred something like take a seat I won’t be a moment :) Language was difficult but that is our fault not theirs. We ordered 2 coffee and two toast with butter. Service was slow. The coffee was ok but I’m surprised my teeth survived the toast. Oh my was it dry, hard and unpleasant. Still, differences accepting, we finished up and asked for the bill We were told it was €9.90 which seemed rather a lot for toast and coffee x 2. Today for example I had a cooked English breakfast ( I know but fancied one, the first one and probably the only one as we usually stick to non English and more traditional food) but it was €5 and came with one slice of toast. So I’m my mind our toast and coffees were not good value and it is not somewhere I’d recommend or return to, despite it being lovely in appearance. Although we havent tried them we did see other nearby alternatives within similar distance of the cross roads junction near the eco park where we stayed. Good luck

The Slow House d'Arco, is a very nice guesthouse located in the centre of unimpressive Sao Brás de Alportel. The guesthouse offers 3 rooms without breakfast, large lounge annex kitchen, patio and terrace at the first floor. Free Wi-Fi & free street parking. The lady owner is friendly and helpful. The patio has a dining table & 4 chairs. The terrace has a bench to relax in the sun. The lounge has a wood stove, comfy bench & club-seats, TV, 2 breakfast tables & chairs. The kitchen is well outfitted: washing machine, dishwasher, coffee-machine & toaster, fridge & freezer, oven, magnetron, stove top, sink, and all utensils and pottery you need. Complimentary wash-powder, Nespresso cups, tea, and apéritifs. We had the room at the first floor. The door opens to the terrace but has no mosquito screens. The adequately furnished & decorated room had a queen-size bed, air-conditioning, wardrobe & chair and a separate bathroom with washbasin, shower, toilet & bidet. All was impeccably clean. We found Slow House d'Arco very pleasant & comfortable, and we had a nice stay. Highly recommended.

Beautiful B&B with easy access to Olhao and Fuseta. Great room with amazing views from balcony. Comfortable bed with luxury linens and a modern bathroom. Fabulous honesty bar with everything you need at very reasonable prices.Beautiful pool area , lots of seating areas and shading. Tasty breakfast with homemade produce served on terrace. Wonderful hosts who welcomed us with a drink and recommended lots of local restaurants ( we went to Restaurante Horta - a short drive away, traditional Portuguese food at very reasonable prices). Would highly recommend.
