I don't like the non cancellation 7 day prepay policy and will most like not stay there again simply because of that. We stayed 10 days I also don't like the sofa beds! They are a joke. Totally uncomfortable and are the cheapest quality available. If charging the rates Hotel Sol does for their "specialty rooms" cutting corners on an item this important is a show stopper for me booking again. The TV's in the new building section are also the worst cheapest quality. The ones Walmart gives away as promotions, with limited stations, awful sound and difficult navigation. Even the coffee makers in the rooms where the low quality ones that barley functioned. It is also kind of tight when accessing the beach. I always felt I was in other guest space. Walking through the main building to access the beach or pool was always crowded and a bit confining. After adding the additional building across the street the pool, shared space and beach area is easily overwhelmed with guest. Also, having to pay $10 to rent a beach chair seems a bit silly when paying $200-$300 per night. The beach was nice but I found myself more interested in the other hotel rentals with the same beach access that did not cut corners on so many things and offered a bit more privacy.

The Carousel Motel is located on the main Gulf Boulevard, just one minute from the fantastic white sandy beaches. Just minutes away you will find a lovely park, shops, restaurants, tennis courts, children's playgrounds, golf courses, and, of course, there are fishing facilities. During your stay with us you may visit most various attractions. All rooms are equipped with: kitchenette, bathroom: bath tub or shower A/C, cable TV, telephone - free local calls, double bed with sofa or single bed free Wi-Fi, all rooms are NON-SMOKING. You are welcome to use the barbecue grill in courtyard.
Small motel. Clean convenient and everything you need nearby. BBQ next door. Pizza across the street ice cream shop 7-11. And friendly tavern right across street. No high rises adjoining. Judy the host was awesome. No intrusive cleaning schedules. The beach is right behind motel 2 min away from water. Sat outside my room watching the night life. I recommend frog pond restaurant about a mile south. Great food. They close around 2pm. Bus stops out front. Try the beaches in this area instead of Clearwater. Some street parking to let you have access to less populated areas.

I went by reviews I had seen on how accommodating and friendly the staff was and was extremely happy. Location was great, crossed the street to go to beach and walked over to great coffee place in the morning got my coffee and watched sunrise over the canal in back of the property. We only stayed 4 nights but had a studio with a full kitchen. Bed was comfortable, decorated beautifully. Lots of storage and the manager was always around to ask questions get recommendations for restaurants etc. she said if you need any towels just leave your dirty stuff in basket in front of your room and we will replace. Well, I put it out walked across to the beach forgot my sunglasses and by the time I walked back across the street the clean stuff was already there!!

Older Mom and Pop motel in walking distance to the beaches of Redington Shores, great restaurants and bars, and 3 miles from John's Pass.
Old road stop style motel on the beach. In need of some renovations but upper rooms we had were spacious with small kitchen. No water pressure in shower but was ok with it. Host Maria was very kind and gave us whatever we asked for. On beach side of strip so short 3 minute walk to beach ! Parking right in front of room and very quiet. We enjoyed our stay, would definitely return for the price !

You can not beat the location- right on the beach. We stayed in Unit 3. The Unit was a little smaller than I expected it to be. It was clean. However the unit needs some updates. The couch is old - baseboards need painting. Plenty of towels for both beach and bathroom. It’s a really nice little town. Walkable to dinner etc.
