Lovely hosts. We had a terrific room and impressive cleanliness. Only a short walk to the main part of Ranfurly. Certainly hope to visit again and experience Ranfurly in the summer. We didn’t do it but the Lodge is very close to the rail trail for those interested.

The kitchen and bathroom facilities good. (Yes I did wear jandles when showering but I did on every other camp ground too). Cabin was old, with a small fridge and TV. Unfortunately the floor could've done with a good clean. I know times are tough for places but if we do our bit and stay there, and pay the same price as at a Top 10 (where you know what you'll get), please do your part. Also this is only the 2nd accomodation where we have stayed in 3 weeks, where a vaccine pass is not required. Make of that what you like.

Much prefer to be giving a positive review, however honesty must prevail.Booked for two nights and left at 8AM after a second sleepless night in an effort to end the misery of this awful stay. Headbanging music from the bar below until 11.50PM followed by yelling, glass breaking and swearing until after 1AM. Around N.Z have enjoyed a wide range of accommodation, however this would be the worst experience ever. Never again. A shame for a once great Art Deco style hotel.

Boutique B & B located in the central Otago rail trail with recently refurbished quality fitout glorious gardens and stunning mountain views
We were met by incredibly friendly hosts and shown to our accommodation. We loved the personal touches and warm hospitality. As we are also in the hospitality industry, we feel so badly for these hosts that some thoughtless 'guests' have rated them low because of faults on the guests part. Arriving early, really early, is rude, inconsiderate and unfair. Hosts need time to clean, restock and regroup. You cannot say that you 'inadvertently' arrived early! Be fair! To be honest, if you arrived at my place two hours early, with an attitude - I would probably tell you to F off too. Mean spirited to post multiple negative reviews! Think of the damage your keyboard rants cause.

The unit we had was recently renovated and when you opened the door there was that new carpet smell! The bathroom was yet to be redone but it was perfectly adequate. The next door unit still had paint pots outside so it looks like they will all be redone shortly. Very comfortable and we would definitely book again here.

Stayed here while doing the Rail Trail. Excellent accommodation, very comfortable and warm with plenty of extras. Lovely bathrobes and creams provided. Special mention to the home cooked bread. We were also able to hire their car which is an added bonus!
