Peaceful farmstay with family feel
Reviewed By JuliaB739This B&B farm stay is in the italian countryside but within 15 mins walk of a village (pub, coffee, pizza etc). We came here to avoid the August crowds and we certainly did that, as there were very few people around anywhere. We had a car, so drove around the local sights of towns, castles, food & wine manufacturing outlets. We used our phone for navigation which we think is essential as roads are good but signage poor. The B&B had a real family feel and our hosts Simone & Bruno were a delight. Very friendly and helpful and considerate of our needs, with good english language skills. Nothing was too much trouble, including arranging food tours for us and dinner reservations. Our room was basic but clean and the shower hot. Breakfast was plentiful including Simone’s home-made cakes. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the rat-race for a while.

Podere Cristina is a farm house near Parma (Emilia Romagna, north-italy). The resort is nestled in the valley food (cheese, sausage, wine cellars, etc..). The farm house has a dining room (max 20 people) and a small riding to try horse riding in the countryside. Near us, about 100 mt, there is a B & B where you could stay overnight. You can book room of B&B with us.
Great location, disappointing food
Reviewed By 338elisanWe went to this restaurant to celebrate my son's first birthday with our extended family after the recommendation of a friend. The place is in a lovely location, overlooking the hills. Also, they have a farm with animals that the kids loved. The waiter, a young polite fellow, was very friendly and service minded however the food was really disappointing. Ham and cold cuts were nice quality but bread finished quickly and took a while to be replaced. Home made tortelli were bitter and hardly edible (also, they were so few that one would have been left with hanger also in case they had been cooked properly). Meat was nicely done. The worst of it all came when the owner of the restaurant showed up to complain because I had brought an home made cake for my son to respect our family tradition. Please notice that we were 10 people and got charged 40€ each to eat 5 starters, 9 pastas and 2 main courses plus 2 bottles of Franciacorta so surely they made enough money of us irrespective of the dessert. In summary: expensive, average food, total lack of courtesy definitely don't make up for the lovely location. Don't go!

Ancient stone house renovated by the owners in 2014. Situated in a very quiet zone in front of Torrechiara Castle, with a private garden with a little nice pond. We have two double rooms on the 1st floor with bath and one without bath on the ground floor. Breakfast served in the living room or outdoor in summer The library is available for guests
Perfect escape!
Reviewed By Eduardo DJust back from a couple of nights at this fantastic B&B. From the minute we parked to the minute we left it was just a perfect escape from every day life. Its an old and charming mansion very wisely restored surrounded by a quite rural landscape. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. What more could you ask for. Breakfast was excellent, the perfect set up for a day of walking! All I can really say is, book it, go and love it like we did.

Michela gentilissima ci ha fornito ogni indicazione e anche prenotato un ristorante nelle vicinanze. Posto bellissimo dove rilassarsi e scoprire il territorio circostante. Peccato esserci stati solo una notte ma ci torneremo sicuramente!
