Very good hotel for a stop over
Reviewed By StudioK187241We were driving from Sweden to the French Riviera and needed a stop over. The hotel is perfectly situated close to the autobahn. Everything was clean, the room was big, shower & bathroom perfect. Very good breakfast. We chose not to eat at the hotel but drove to the beatiful little town Tecklenburg just nearby. Very pittoresque and nice places to eat. The hotel had a very good ratio price/quality.

Rigtigt godt men med et par store minusser
Reviewed By brittspurre63Det startede så godt, men der kom desværre nogle gevaldige minusser hen ad vejen. Vi kunne rigtig godt lide det gamle hus, som vi synes var gjort så fint. Vi fik et stort værelse med et pænt stort badeværelse også (nr 12).fin udsigt lige til kirken, hvor klokkerne ringer hvert kvarter. Pænt og nydeligt værelse med skabe, borde osv. Vi gik ned og spiste en lækker middag. Først en rigtig god aspargessuppe. Derefter en ret med asparges, hvide kartofler, lækker sovs og en rigtig god schnitzel. En anden ret.. Zigeunerscunitzel med tilbehør var også god. Da det blev sengetid var det rart med vinduet åbent, men umuligt pga larm fra gaden og lige under vinduet, hvor der stod en mand og hold enetale utroligt højt og meget, meget længe. Han blev afløst af højrøstede unge inden der endelig blev ro. Det viste sig, at de ret høje senge desværre ikke var så gode. De bestod af et par tykke slags madrasser og øverst var der en tyk rullemadras der gled ud over kanten. Sengetøjet var dejligt. Der var en brusekabine, hvor der næsten ikke var noget vandtryk, kun lidt af det kolde og intet varmt. Der var også et badekar, hvor der var varmt vand og lidt mere vandtryk. Det sprøjtede til gengæld over hele gulvet og det var rigtig svært at komme helskindet ud af karret igen. Morgenmaden var fin med gode ting, dig kun brød, musli og et hårdkogt æg. WiFi fungerede ok. Med de nævnte minusser er det desværre ikke prisen værd og det er ærgerligt, da vi rigtig god kunne lide at være der.

The best city - more to see in a walkable area
Reviewed By Phil WThis was our first visit to Brugge. We were straying about 11km outside city and had Hire Car. Our host suggested we use the Railway Station Parking at a maximum of 3:50Euro for day. He was right. Armed with Google Maps and a tourist map we were quickly in the city centre (about 1km walk). There are horse drawn rides (50Euro); Canal Tours (8 Euro or so but very busy) and small open bus tours (20 Euro for 50 mins). We took latter and it pointed us to many places we would later visit. Shop around for Chocolate - there are lots of shops. Lunch, etc can be got at a reasonable price. Main sights include Canals, the Belfry and square, the Burg and currently ‘The Whale of Brugge’ - a blue whale constructed out of Plastic. Really need more than our 2 days to do this place justice.
