This motel proves the adage: ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ . It’s a motel built beside the ‘old’ Calder Highway in the late 1960s. Our room: clean, neat and comfortable, white walls, crockery & cutlery provided plus tea/coffee/sugar/milk. Kettle’s ‘ innards’ sparkling clean………..a bonus, as many in various types of accommodation, aren’t! Reverse cycle aircon kept room warm and we slept very well in the comfortable bed. No need for the electric blankets. Shower good, towels fresh. Popular too, with the large parking area easily accommodating 4 medium trucks, a number of ‘tradie’ utes plus 4-5 private vehicles parked the two nights we stayed. Manger, Andrew, has been there for 15 years. He was on site when we stayed and is most helpful.

Fantastic property with great views and amazing facilities. Great stay for the following reasons: 1. The property - Has fantastic views, the rooms are large, and the location is a great base for the Macedon region. 2. The hosts - Harvey and Leanne were friendly and could not have done more to accommodate us. We needed an early check-in for our bridal party to get ready for our wedding day, this was the only property that was willing to accommodate our request. In fact Harvey and Leanne left no stone unturned to meet all our needs. They were amazing. 3. The facilities - Best facilities for any B'n'B that we've ever stayed. Tennis Court, Basketball, Squash court, Pool table, Gym, Massage chair, Table tennis, Air Hockey, Sauna, Playground. All were in great condition and top quality. Our whole family were entertained for hours and did not want to leave. Highly recommend for anyone staying in the region. We will definitely be back.

What a lovely hideaway! Centrally located there is a lot to do with the hanging rock, waterfalls, springs, Mount Macedon and even an award winning mountain gin destillery close by. The place itself is brandnew, tastefully and lovely decorated. Even the chairs wear socks ? we loved the sheep saying goodmorning, having a cuddle with the supercute dogs and a good night of the resident roos. Nothing I can say to describe the perfect hosts R&J, what a great team! We left a piece of our hearts and hope dearly to return! Thank you ☀️☀️☀️

These lovely cottages could not be more accommodating! I really enjoyed my stay in the Birch cottage. The cottages were clean, have everything I needed and was set up so conveniently. The setup (kitchen appliances, utensils, power points, etc) is well thought through for guests. Pauline was extremely flexible, helpful and accommodating. Baringo is a 1 -2 min walk which is handy for coffee, food, wine. The station is also a minute away.
