We are under new ownership and management. our hotel was renovated in 2019 and we have looked at most of the previous reviews and we are making the necessary changes, fixing any and all issues with the rooms and hotel in general. we appreciate your business and patience! Thank You

Reviewed By Adventurer580519The horrendous odor permeates the entire property. For a non-smoking hotel the smell of tobacco smoke mixed with marijuana hits you like a bad trip. The second hand high alone is enough to get your nose running and wondering if you'll pass your next random drug test. Had to go buy Fabreeze and air freshener pods just to bare it after leaving the air running and the window open for an hour. Feeling like Cheech and Chong are permanent residents here. Worried I will gain a million pounds from craving munchies in the night due to the overwhelming pot smoke screen. Breakfast was a complete bust. Waffle batter too ru nny to cook properly, no bread, no juice, rotten fruit (which one of our party discovered by bitting into it...gross), no Danish, a single yogurt, very sparse. No one at the desk. I have yet to see an employee since check.in. Patrons looking around the breakfast trying to scrap us something, this is at 7:30 am. Tried to get an extra blanket, pillow and towels since the room made for 4 only provided 2 towels and 1 wash cloth for the 4 of us to share last night no employee in sight. While sitting in the Lobby this morning suddenly inundated with marijuana smoke. Awful!! Pretty sure the smell is from the Employee residence. Finally talked to an employee, he was belligerent and rude. He refused to take any responsibility. Would not offer any compensation at all.

Lunch and dinner is available at River Rocks Bar & Grill that is located off of our lobby. The Inn has an elevator, off-street parking, and can arrange taxi service at cost.

Reviewed By AngieAversWe wish we could've stayed longer. We had to visit West Point, Iowa for a purchase. I looked around for a place to stay and this one has great reviews. We understand why now. Our drive took longer than expected because of severe thunderstorms. The hotel called us twice, mostly just to check on us. They really do care. They made sure we knew how to enter the hotel and our room at such a late arrival time. I was afraid the rooms might be dated. They are not. They seem to be recreations of the vintage style, with antique furnishings but fresh wallpaper and such. Everything is in good repair. The room was cooled, waiting for us to arrive. We would be happy to visit the area again. Don't miss The Fort Diner for a quick, inexpensive, delicious breakfast. The loaded omelet, and hash browns, with toast, was just $5. We tipped well.

Reviewed By 830douglVery nice front desk staff. Bright, clean and smelled very fresh throughout. Right off of 61. ADA room was top notch. You can follow 61 into town to the Train station and river park and the Old Fort Madison (currently completing road construction in front of train station which is being refurbished. River park is great for railfans. Great restaurant across the lot - Buffalo61.

Beautiful, upscale 78-room hotel with meeting space! Big City Quality, Small Town Values. Located near Nauvoo, IL and Burlington, IA along the Mississippi River. All rooms standard with in-room fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee brewer and 50" TV. Guest laundry on site, and free parking including bus and trailers.
We stayed for a month and t was like home away from home.
