NIU Graduation weekend trip from PA
Reviewed By my2kidsmom9702We were in town for our daughter's Master's degree graduation from NIU, so we truly expected a crowded hotel with the usual associated "crowded hotel issues". BOY WERE WE WRONG. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every category!!! The room was clean and QUIET! We did hear people in the hallway in the early evening, but it was quiet when we needed it be...when we were sleeping! Breakfast...where do I begin?! It was BY FAR the nicest hotel breakfast I have seen, and we do travel frequently. The staff that we interacted with were all really friendly and helpful, and we witnessed the staff with other guests that mirrored ours. We really LOVED the graduation decorations they had put up to celebrate NIU grads! Our daughter will be at NIU for at least 4-5 more years while she earns her PhD, so we will plan on several more visits to this hotel. I can't imagine staying anywhere else!!

Reviewed By John EThe exterior walkways need a bit of work the rooms however are quite nice and very clean. All rooms have a mini fridge . microwave and single serve coffee\tea maker. Staff are extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. Even numbered rooms fave the inside of the complex towards the office\pool. Odd numbered rooms run around the outside perimeter. Lots of restaurants nearby. Mcdonalds,Sonic, Popeyes,Happy Wok, Fatty:s(great bar food), Pizza pros.

Great room refresh for extended stay

On this trip 4 day trip I had to extend my stay, when I got back to the hotel Friday night I was very surprised and delighted that the room had been cleaned, there were fresh towels and clean sheets. It was very thoughtful and made a big difference. With Covid restrictions over the last 2 years I have gotten used to not having the room cleaned during a stay.

Reviewed By goikle817222The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. We went for the king suite. The hot tub was clean. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. It was a nice place to celebrate our wedding vows at.

Better than ever
Reviewed By karen JWe always try to select a suite, and was totally surprised by the one we were given. Two rooms, huge bathroom, everything we needed. Staff was very attentive. Breakfast was grab and go, which is fine with us these days.
