Good apartments
Reviewed By dos-carasLa Hornera consists of several apartments. The apartment I stayed at consisted of a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. It was spacious enough, comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen had a fridge, dishes, microwave, stove etc. The location is very convenient to explore Fuente De + villages next to it + Potes. A lot of travellers choose to stay at Potes but to me this rural location was much more preferable as you can get out of the house and see Picos de Europa. One issue was, we have never seen the owner. When we arrived (around 9 pm), there was no one at the reception and we had to call the phone on the sign outside reception. The owner said they hadn't expected us to turn up after all, so they hadn't waited for us. It turned out they had left the key to our apartment someplace next to the door, and we spent 15 minutes looking for it. The same thing happened when we wanted to pay - there was no one we could give the money to and we didn't have the exact amount to leave at the apartment. So we had to call the owner and he charged the credit card. But of course, these were but very minor issues, and what's more, the owner offered us one free night to make up for the inconvenience, and this was very kind of him.

Nice traditional place for a good break
Reviewed By Chris WA very nice, welcoming hotel, perfectly situated for exploring the region. The staff are very hard working to make sure you have a nice stay. It might not be the most modern place but it’s more than enough for a relaxing break in the mountains. There is a nice little restaurant service too, which provides good food after a day of walking.

A remote, charming, ancient farmhouse full of character but with some dining constraints
Reviewed By Clipper_travellerThe property is at the end of a very steep and narrow lane with no passing places, about half a mile from the main road. In a quiet location with wonderful mountain-views (but none from the bedrooms), this old rustic farmhouse has ancient furniture and family memorabilia, some centuries old. Both guest bedrooms open directly off the dining room so dining in silence or in whispers was required. Dinner was "country style" and both savoury courses came with chips but there was an excellent breakfast.

Increíble limpieza
Reviewed By MertxefrHemos pasado una noche en estos apartamentos y estaba tan limpio, tan limpio, que todo parecía nuevo!! Ordenado, limpio, amplio, vistas excepcioanles. Si vuelvo a Picos de Europa, volveré a estos apartamentos y, desde luego, lo recomiendo 100%!!
