Peaceful Paradise
Reviewed By angelaogazSpectacular views of the river, the rooms are fantastic. Our room had a beautiful terrace with a sliding glass wall that opens up 3/4 of the way. The staff and service was excellent. If you want a tranquil getaway it's a perfect spot.

The Out of Town is the 1st hostel in the region and it sets in a 1942 stone house in a welcoming, relaxed and rustic environment. Here, we offer our guests accomodation and outdoor activites such as yoga, ski/wakeboard, canyoning, SUP tours and pedestrian routes. The house is surrounded by a garden with fruit trees and flowers, a pool, BBQ, wood oven and a vegetable garden. Only 55km from Oporto! Note: We have cats/dogs in this property

Very good stay in Castelo de Paiva
Reviewed By One_of_the_BOFsI stayed here for three nights with my Portugal based son when working on his newly acquired (with his brother) farm in a nearby village. It is more akin to an AirBnB rather than a hotel with three bedrooms, living room and kitchen etc. Lovely rustic interior (a few minor improvements are needed); good location and great value on the deal that we had. I would certainly return here with my wife on a future visit to help our sons - until they get their property habitable!

A weekend in the hills in rural surroundings
Reviewed By julioproencaFrom the sympathy of Mrs. Cristina, the surrounding space itself is quite cozy. Generously sized room, air conditioning, hot water with good pressure, and the bed is very comfortable. Modern and informal decoration, with a very pleasant interior and exterior shared space, outside we can have tea, or enjoy reading in the shade of a sun hat, listening to the sounds of the countryside. Very well located and a few meters from the center of the village. On-site parking, but conditioned it requires advance reservation. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience in a beautiful setting
Reviewed By DaniTugaI stayed at Rio Moments with friends and family to celebrate my 50th birthday. I have no words to describe how well we were treated by The whole team. We had an incredible weekend. The hotel has is gorgeous and located on a beautiful natural setting, where you can hear the river and the birds. Lots of beautiful activities to do around the hotel : hiking, swimming , rafting, etc. but the most amazing thing was how the team treated us. They did everything possible to ensure we had a good time. Excellent experience !!!!!

One night was not enough
Reviewed By BobCScotinWalesWe only stayed here for one night but it should have been longer. In a rural location it is in a peaceful and beautiful situation and has a swimming pool. Phillipe and his Dad, Luis, made us feel very welcome. The accommodation has only been open for two years and is to a very good standard. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful with a good selection. They sell their local wines at 8 Euros per bottle which are easy to drink! We asked for a suggestion for somewhere to have dinner and Phillipe recommended a local, small restaurant which is a family run business and it was fabulous. Restaurant Dona Amelia. Don't try and drive there. Phillipe/Luis will organise a taxi. Another gem. A very pleasant driver who took us there and collected us. Very good value. If you want a lovely walk which is within driving distance, go to the Passadicos do Paiva. The nearest start point is at Espiunca.
