Delightful family run chambre d’hote
Reviewed By HelenstansfeldWe spent a night here whilst cycling along the Loire. We received a wonderful welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable, though a larger bed would have been perfect. We emailed ahead to book dinner and we were served a delicious home cooked meal with salad and fruit from the garden. Breakfast was delicious with homemade brioche, jams and biscuits. The owner very kindly provided us with a picnic for our onward journey.

Welcoming and helpfull staff
Reviewed By Weightman01The hotel is situated in a very quiet part of the small town of Bourbon-Lancy overlooking the big fishing pond. In addition, there is a very good play area for children and a walking/running circuit. The hotel staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpfull. Since this is an Ibis Styles hotel, the rooms are larger than in standard Ibis hotels. I would recommend paying the additional price for a room overlooking the fishing pond to take advantage of the view and to have a small balcony. Breakfast is very good indeed. You can make your own freshly pressed orange juice, the coffee is very good. Hams, cheeses, breads,croissants and cakes are available as well as fresh fruit salad. The only negative point is that the balcony was not very clean (end of season) and that cobwebs were found in the room.

A NIGHTMARE HOTEL
Reviewed By federico mAt a first glance, the small Hotel looks like a pretty and nice familiar location. But when you can't sleep after 6 o'clock in the morning, for the BIG BIG noise from the other rooms or from wooden floor (people walking, luggages and so on...) it becomes not a good place to stay...For sure, my first and last time... 2 nights without rest... Breakfast (10€) is really "minimal", no salty food and no FRESH Fruit...poor selections of hot drinks...

Great campsite for cyclists

Excellent clean, warm facilities, with a Wi-Fi room that also has microwave, kettle, crockery etc. for campers to use. Great for us as in heavy rain. Pitches also have picnic tables and a washing line! The managers were warm, friendly and helpful.

Reviewed By Weightman01These studios are located in a pleasant, quiet area near the fishing lake where you can go for a lovely walk. The owners are very helpful and welcoming. The studios are fairly well-equipped, very clean and functional. The bed is comfortable. Amenities such as a supermarket are close to hand. On the negative side, there is no coffee machine - only a plastic filter is provided. The television is the size of a lap-top screen and the decor is not tasteful - gaudy plastic 3-D pictures. The rooms are not serviced. It is worth staying here if you don't want to stay in a hotel

Reviewed By CharlesC668· After cycling a long distance we received a warm welcome in this somewhat quirky, family-run chambres d'hote. We were offered dinner at a very reasonable price, which was both welcome and excellent. Breakfast was similarly good. The whole place is a bit of a warren but our room was comfortable. Bourbon-Lancy is a spa town where people go to cure various illnesses. Unfortunately the main building had been damaged by fire and so there was a strange and rather sad air about the place which should have been busy, but wasn't. · One of the down sides of staying in a chambre d'hote is that electrical outlets tend to be in short supply. This was no exception to the general rule.
