This small town is about 25 miles south of Marrakech, situated at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains. If you are interested in what town life is like in a Berber village, make a stop here. The weekly Souk (bazaar-style market) is interesting to see, as it is far different than the loud markets in the Medina in Marrakech. Aside from that, the views are spectacular and if you ask, you can find a nice walking path to drink in some of the views.

Maroc Lodge offers its guests various garden villas scattered in a large and beautiful garden around an infinity pool overflowing on the Amizmiz valley located on the foothills of the High Atlas Mountain 45 minutes from Marrakech.
Such a treat to return for the 3rd time to Bruno’s amazing garden and lovely relaxing retreat of Maroc Lodge. Amazing staff, food and private accommodation. The pool was incredible and you can sit and watch the birds including turtle doves, oriels and rollers. We had another day walk with Omar which was as usual challenging and varied. Such a worthwhile and uplifting experience with such a great, relaxed and encouraging guide. We hope to return again !!!

DAR ACHORAFA & SPAAMIZMIZIn the nature, at the foot of the High Atlas mountains, DAR ACHORAFA Tizefrite (Amizmiz) in a typical berber village, Hicham (mountain guide) and Laurence invite you in your 4 bed rooms natural house (pisé, wood, reeds…), (8 to 10 persons, 150 m2) and The Suite 2 bedrooms(4 to 6 persons, 100 m2) in the berber tradition, with fireplace, terrasses…in a plantation of olive trees 2 hectares and the hospitality of a Berber village – A very peaceful place , 45 mn away from Marrakech airport.
Great place to stay if you are looking for an authentic Moroccan experience. With our family of 5 adults, a child and a baby we stayed in the 4-bedroom house. Breakfast and diner (incl dessert) were delicious. The local wine a great match. The fact that we didn't had to worry about groceries, cleaning & cooking made our holiday feeling complete. The very friendly staff is available 24/7 to help you with whatever you need. The house is located on a small compound, very safe for children. A lovely garden with swimming pool, playground, Pétanque lane, table-tennis table and private hammam make it a place to calm down and relax for everybody. I would recommend to hire a car in Marrakesh to fully explore the area. We made several day trips, went hiking with a local guide and made several walks on our own. The stunning views of the Atlas Mountains, the friendly people and the small villages make you step back in time. Highly recommended.
