Leaving from Kalbarri Boat Hire, for your adventure, you will be taken 15km up the Murchison River to Gregory Rocks in a OKA 4WD. Here you will begin your 4km paddle down the river to Nanny Goat Well. You will be met here by your guide for the best bush breakfast in town. With your appetite satisified, you will then continue down the river to the Dance Floor. This is a great swimming hole where we regroup for the last leg of the paddle. After the last leg you will be collected by the guide and brought back to Kalbarri. This is a fantastic family outing and recommended for all age groups.

There are a variety of trails through the inland gorges (10 degrees hotter than on the coast) and all along the coast. We opted for the coastal route and spent a very happy day exploring Natural Bridge, Island Rock, Eagle Gorge and Pot Alley. The red cliffs are really spectacular here - full of intricate details when you get close up to them and glistening in the sun. The contrast with the roaring Indian Ocean is spectacular. Bring plenty of water - people have died from heat exhaustion walking these trails.

We were there on a sunny day around 11am, a perfect setting to experience the amazing lake! Just watch out if you want to walk on the lake edge as some area can be quite marshy and your shoes could sink quickly in the deep.
